I’ve done everything possible to avoid seeing the mandalorian’s name because I wanted to find out when/if the show wanted us to find out but I just saw it scroll down my feed and now I’m bummed lol

I watched all of the available episodes of Resistance and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations. It reminds me very much of early Rebels. I’m hopeful it will go on a similar trajectory with the storytelling maturing along with its target audience.

The most refreshing thing about Resistance is that, for the first time in a Star Wars show or film, our protagonist didn’t grow up as an orphan/slave on a desolate or oppressed world. Kaz is the son of a senator and hails from the New Republic capitol Hosnian Prime. It’ll be great for privileged kids (and adults) to see Kaz learn some important lessons about hard work and empathy throughout the series.

Resistance takes place 6 months before The Force Awakens, so it’s likely we’ll see Kaz witness the destruction on Hosnian Prime at the hands of the First Order. I’m excited to see where the series goes from there. We should also start taking bets as to how long before a Clone Wars or Rebels character shows up in the series.
