Synesthegender: A neurogender where someone’s perception of gender is affected by their synesthesia. This could be their own gender, or gender in general.
Flag meaning: The five colored stripes represent the five commonly known senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell), although together, they also represent lesser known senses and concepts.
The brighter stripes represent projective synesthesia (directly experiencing mixed senses), and the duller stripes represent associative synesthesia (a strong and innate association between senses).
The white stripe and white circle represent gender, and how a synesthegender person’s perception of gender is innately tied to their synesthesia.
Symbol meaning: When looking for a synesthesia symbol, I couldn’t find one. So, I made my own.
The symbol is made up of a infinity sign and two arrow-heads. The infinity sign is a symbol for neurodivergence. Synesthesia is in itself a neurodivergency, but it is also more common among people with other neurodivergent conditions such as autism or ADHD. The two arrow-heads are placed along the infinity sign to represent a pathway or exchange between senses.
The colors share the same meanings as the stripes on the synesthegender flag: five colors to represent the five commonly known senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell), and together, they also represent lesser known senses and concepts; brighter colors for projective synesthesia (directly experiencing mixed senses), and duller colors for associative synesthesia (a strong and innate association between senses).

So, believe it or not, I was the anon who coined synesthegender and made the original flag!(link) It was my first coining, and I decided to do it on anon, because I wasn’t ready to have any attention on me.
Since then, I’ve coined three other terms, and gotten a lot better at flagmaking, so I thought I should revisit it and make a redesign.
[flag i.d. (1): synesthegender flag: a flag with 11 horizontal stripes; the first 5 stripes are all even width and brightly colored (from top to bottom: hot pink, purple, cyan, green, yellow); the middle stripe is white and thicker than the rest; the remaining 5 stripes mirror the first 5, and are even width with muted colors (from top to bottom: yellow, green, blue, purple, pink); in the middle of the flag is a white circle containing the synesthesia symbol (an infinity loop with two arrow-heads running along the lines, colored in the same gradient as the flag; the left-hand side of the loop is dull while the right-hand side is bright) // end i.d.]
[flag i.d. (2): simplified synesthegender flag (version 1): a flag with 11 horizontal stripes; the first 5 stripes are all even width and brightly colored (from top to bottom: hot pink, purple, cyan, green, yellow); the middle stripe is white and thicker than the rest; the remaining 5 stripes mirror the first 5, and are even width with muted colors (from top to bottom: yellow, green, cyan, purple, pink) // end i.d.]
[flag i.d. (3): simplified synesthegender flag (version 2): a flag with 11 horizontal stripes; the first 5 stripes are all even width and brightly colored (from top to bottom: hot pink, purple, cyan, green, yellow); the middle stripe is white and thicker than the rest; the remaining 5 stripes mirror the first 5, and are even width with muted colors (from top to bottom: yellow, green, cyan, purple, pink); in the middle of the flag is a white circle containing the simplified synesthesia symbol (a dark grey infinity loop with two arrow-heads running along the lines) // end i.d.]
[symbol i.d. (1): synesthesia symbol: an infinity loop with two arrow-heads running along the lines, colored in a 10 color gradient; the left-hand side uses muted colors while the right-hand side uses bright colors; starting from where the loop intersects, the colors are: muted pink, muted purple, muted blue, muted green, muted yellow, bright yellow, bright green, bright cyan, bright purple, bright hot pink // end i.d.]
[symbol i.d. (2): simplified synesthesia symbol: a dark grey infinity loop with two arrow-heads running along the lines // end i.d.]

I hope it was ok to tag everyone, above. It’s been a while since I did this, and most of the blogs I used to tag are deleted or inactive.
[ID: two flags with seven horizontal stripes, with the first and last stripe being the biggest, the fourth being two-thirds as big and the rest of the stripes being the smallest. The first flag has these colors in order: muted dark blue, light beige, gold, dark brown-red, gold, light beige and slightly muted red. The second flag has the same colors, except the gold stripes are brown. End id]
Cuisensic: a gender related to Paris, cooking, warmth, synesthesia, passion and savory smells and flavors. Can also be related to the movie Ratatouille and/or Remy the rat, but doesn’t have to be.
Cuisavoric: a gender related to Paris, cooking, warmth, passion and savory smells and flavors. Can also be related to the movie Ratatouille and/or Remy the rat, but doesn’t have to be. A version of Cuisensic that is NOT related to synesthesia.
Etymology: ‘Cui’ is from cuisine (French for cooking), ‘sens’ is from sense and ‘savor’ is from savory.
do you know of any genders that can be related to the condition “synesthesia” ? — @venusaric
Synesthegender: When one’s perception of gender is affected by their synesthesia. This could be their own gender, or gender in general.
Also:
Aisthesisgender / Synesgender: A gender that is made of sensation or sensations, or is a sensation or sensations. Hence aisthesis being the Greek word for ‘sensation’. A gender that can be colors, feelings, sounds, or shapes. But, can also be a gender associated with such. Can be a stand alone term, and one that describes another gender. Can be used by both synesthetes and non-synesthetes.
Sensogender: A gender affected by or relating to physical contact with a surface.
Colorgender: A gender associated with one or more colors and the feelings, hues, emotions, and/or objects associated with that color. Can be used like pinkgender, violetgender, etc.
[Image: an 11-striped horizontal flag with stripes in descending order: red-pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, white, light yellow, light green, light blue, light purple, light red-pink.]
Synesthegender: when one’s perception of gender is affected by their synesthesia. This could be their own gender, or gender in general.
There are five colored stripes to represent the five common senses, sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell, but together they also represent lesser known senses and concepts. White represents gender. The brighter stripes represent projective synesthesia, and the duller stripes represent associative synesthesia.
Synesthesia is most commonly known to combine senses, for example allowing someone to hear colors, but it can also affect preception of concepts and symbols such as letters, units of time, and genders.
