Shit, I have no idea if we even posted about that here or not. I'm less great at maintaing these things.

So, after basically being full time host/permafront for the last.....ever, and unsure if it was even possible for someone else to front much less actively take over, Rogue was able to officially and fully step out of the driver's seat back around the end of May/beginning of June.

They had already been very Me shifted since this really kicked into high gear last September, and apparently that, and just how similar I am to our current self/body consciousness, I was able to absorb the fictionkin aspect of myself from Rogue and use it to properly anchor myself in the body full time (as opposed to the limited periods I had been able to front or cofront previously)

Which is an interesting experience, the difference is there but doesn't feel as stark as when Rogue was still the primary one in control. We've sort of likened it to running a new OS on the same hardware.

This largely came about due to years of exhaustion, constantly being in survival mode, trauma, disscociation, and serious decision paralysis.

Rogue had more or less been begging for a break for years, but prior to finally getting ADHD meds could barely acknowledge/see that anyone else was there. And as much as Vex and Kuronue have their own preferences and opinions and can act as full system members (at least as long as Rogue is at the helm, I actually can barely feel or hear them at all) they are still, ultimately, fictotypes. Rogue could experience shifts as them, or speak to them separately, but they are unable to actually take over front.

Which does I think qualify Rogue as a subsystem all their own. Its....far quieter/less chaotic in here with me plugged in. (Which is an insane perspective, I'm not exactly a very mentally quiet person)

With me here, and with the double Fictotypes+Fictive situation, I could finally give them the break from all of this that they have seriously needed, and full authority to do.....whatever, with our life, that I see fit. (Which as of now, will involve actual medical transition and getting out of a serious long term relationship)

Rogue is still here, they are fine and just resting/recovering in back of headspace. Draco and Eugene have been keeping them company while I take care of things out here.

I fully intend to do my best to maintain all of our accounts set up by Rogue, including this one, as well as our various other interpersonal relationships (I have access to all the necessary memories/experiences) but we are otherwise very much Under New Management.

The Unending Struggle of the Klingon System Admin

The newbie refills the tankard of bloodwine in front of the battle-scarred Klingon system admin, dreaming about how many disasters his federation ship could've avoided if he'd just be allowed to do the same.

hey i have a question: is there a name for someone who like, keeps track of things (member count, memories, roles, etc) but doesn't actually hold any of those memories? just...knows who does? we were thinking of coining something like "fileholder" since in the headspace i have a file cabinet where i keep that stuff but if there's already a term~

There are a lot of potential terms that could fit- I think a lot of ISHs do that. Could be considered a Gatekeeper too, or maybe a system Admin?

I believe "Archivist" was coined for that purpose but I don't see many systems using it. If you feel like coining it, go ahead! We'd love to see it.

So, on the ongoing question of is @gogo-laughing-skull a Fictotype or Fictive situation, apparently *I* can actually tell.

Even with taking on Rogues part of the Bellamy Bits, there's enough separation between us that the situation isn't as blurry for me to figure out.

Eugene is a very, very, early fictive. Back when whatever parts that would eventually solidify into Sareth+Alex before becoming Rogue were still very indistinct/blurry/blendy.

He's not just "The Original Gender Envy" in the haha early influences kind of way, but in the coming to exist internally literally embodying all of that early childhood gender struggle. (Which is hilarious, given that the only one of us who was in fact transmasc in our own canons was @bat-burgler )

But because this was quite literally the 90s when this was happening, he's been here, in the background, for so long, and is of such a similar personality type (not that we all aren't, but even more so) that Rogue couldn't even recognize him until we finally had ADHD meds.

But most of me has only been here for the last 9 months, and with us fully switching out, the situation is a lot clearer for me, and Eugene ultimately feels connected slightly less like Vex and Kuronue, and somewhat more like Me and Draco.

Still more blendy/blurry because of exactly how long it's been, but still not Actually The Same.
