System TikTok is so fucking annoying and are very entitled, to a point where I feel the need to say this again. (Rant under the cut)

(This post is not welcoming origin discourse. I am “neutral” at best and not giving a shit at most)

Systems can not claim the word “source” nor the idea of “source memories”. Source means “to originate from”, you cannot claim a basic word as a system only experience as that is factually incorrect. Alterhumans and those who experience things like IRL/DA can ALSO experience memories that originate from something else. The term “media memories” is like be defined as “memories SOURCED from a piece of media” guess what you just made the term source memories again in the most round about way possible!

I swear systems on tiktok will get so up in arms when fictionkins and IRLs so much as breathe similarly to them. Alterhuman and IRLs also stuggle with shit that may have some overlap, that does not mean they’re trying to intrude in your damn spaces.

You cannot claim basic words as a thing only for a singular group, you can’t claim the word fuckin protector is a system only thing, you can’t claim dissociation is a system only thing, you can not claim collective (ie: a collective of students) as a system only thing. It’s frankly frustrating that I keep seeing this mindset.

TikTok Systems are the most toxic fuck ass systems known to damn man. As things like paranoia of faking is so high they’ll make the most senseless arguments about what is or isn’t a valid term for the general public to use.

I apologize for this can’t but I swear to LN’ETA that they act as just because they struggle that means they get to dictate what other groups that ALSO struggle what is and isn’t okay for them to refer to their experiences as.

Okay, we used to use tiktok a lot and when we found systok we was actually happy because it made us feel like we weren't alone. That didn't mean we didn't get fakeclaimed in comments. One day, we posted a video on one of the roles that we have "Music Manger".

We got fakeclaimed for having that role because it wasn't "real". We tried explaining that it's a role in our system, some songs are negatively triggering and a music manger will prevent that(for example: If we had a triggering song on our MP3, Will would go through the MP3 and get rid of the negative songs.)

Like-- I'm really confused, last time I checked, some systems make roles up for certain things that other systems may not have/use.

i hate people who fake did/osdd-1 a/b just as much as the next person and tiktok is a cesspool for finding clearly misinformed and performative content but god do i wish singlets who have those weird like... documenting cringe channels would actually do some research instead of calling it MPD still and dismissing terms that actually are scientific just because they don't know what it means. because they did no research.

but what can i say, no matter what side you're on, people are complete dicks about system stuff. if you want to stop people from faking it maybe look into things and point out the red flags instead of forcing outdated terminology out there even if you have some facts straight. it just makes the people who fake it all the more likely to do so, sometimes to even make the point of "oh youre so unsupportive of people with disorders". it's literally ableism vs ableism. just two different breeds.

yes this is about acheeto and i want to disclaim i am only 11 mins and 44 secs into this video . it's a real shame. i clicked knowing sysfakers would show up, but... i was hoping the commentator would have some actual knowledge, but it seems like not even a singular google search was done

tldr if you want to make videos disproving people faking systems please know your facts and terminology beforehand rather than just pointing and laughing without any substance. you may be right but it isn't productive or getting people anywhere and if anything that kind of behaviour makes people think DID/OSDD-1 isn't even real

Tiktok systems are the most gatekeepy group known to fucking man kind by god.

How dare a IRLs/DAs or Fiction Kins have a similar experience and express that. They must be “trying to be a system so hard”. My brother in Christ, experiences can fucking have overlap.

A disordered term/experience can overlap with a non disordered one. Two different disordered terms can have overlap.

People talking about similarities isn’t someone trying to claim your shit. Hell you can’t claim shit is your when it literally affects multiple other groups of people.
