to commemorate (late) valentine's day, I decided to be cringe on main

anyway, to be clear, these are AU versions of junko and hecatia for a crossover RP setting called "taara". these variants originate from the setting itself.

I still have no idea how to draw hecatia.

these are also the precursors to my ocs yuanshu and trivia I'm still trying to work on fixing the taaran variants

here's a version with just junko cuz that's how it was originally gonna be. I also kinda dig how she looks here

anyway, taaran reimu concept for my friend this time.  she’s not legitimately an oni, still human. buuut she was basically surrounded by them and the lycoli (lesser oni) in this setting. she’s still a shrine maiden I guess, just more brash than the actual reimu. we wound up making her an oni cuz of this image here https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/95471522

taaran wakasagihime concept the concept’s my friend’s, by the way. I’m not really involved in characterizing her. I just know that my friend had the game “survive mola mola” in mind, and I vaguely remember him mentioning her having clothes themed after that game.

Taara the boxer

Boxer pre-academy

Has tattoos on her knuckles, “Kiki” and “Lulu”. Yes. She’s named her fists.

Abilities: Oh, Taara can brawl, and she packs a mean punch. Her fighting style is loose and bouncy, sometimes throwing in some dance moves to psyche out her opponents. Taara uses boxing techniques combined with her elemental magic to execute face-shattering blows. Agility- she’s practically untouchable in hand to hand combat

Despite her aggressive fascination with fighting, and competitiveness, Taara is very charismatic.

Peppy, upbeat, optimistic

Prefers vulgar language- Ren hates it.

Her Vaeyu uncle died in the war fifteen years ago. After that, her parents became bent on shutting down her aspirations to be a magic user. Instead, they began preparing her to be a “proper lady” so they could marry her off into a respectable family, hoping that it would tame her wild spirit.

Her grandmother encouraged her wild spirit. She’d take Taara in for the summers and then hire tutors for all forms of combat. Obviously, she took to boxing quickly. 

The best way to get Taara to do something is to tell her that she can’t or that she’s not allowed. The best way to get her to stop doing something is to tell her that she is required to do it from now on. She just lives to contradict.

Courageous to a fault- she can be careless with her own life, for the sake of her teammates.
