Made a very basic sled for some irregular cuts. I used @microjig miter bar for a perfect fit (it's adjustable). Also used a masking tape to transfer to hole pattern. I’m a big fan of a simple tablesaw sled. I had to knock this one out using what I had on hand (no plywood) so it’s reclaimed rock maple shelving from a local library. This is how I made my sled - episode 1/3 I cut all the parts off camera to keep it shorter. What sled do you use the most? Small or big? Fancy or simple? This is my 5th or 6th sled. Instead of interchangeable inserts I gave it sliding floor so it can accommodate blades of paper thin kerf up to 25mm/1". One of those projects that we postpone forever and then wonder why haven't done it months ago. Sled for beveled cuts. Believe me, you need it. It's very hard to make straight beveled cuts without it as the blade will pull stock to one side. I haven't done 4 cuts method to get this sled square. I didn't have to. I don’t have a lot of space in my shop for storing a ton of jigs and sleds. One thing I do keep around is this simple sled made from a hunk of OSB that I can alter to suit my needs.
