The evolution of my opinion on Transfem Jax:

Before Episode 9: "Well, it's a nice headcanon; it has some solid grounds, but to be fair, those apply to the general interpretation of Jax too, and it doesn't look like that's the direction the show is taking."

The two-week hell: "Okay, I'm seeing a lot of Transfem Jax content now—lots of truthers celebrating. Happy for them. As for me, I'm going to wait and see."

After Episode 9: "Okay, I can see it. It makes a lot of sense. It's a bit ambiguous, but it's there."

After "Jax if she wasn't a piece of shit": "Oh. So it *is* canon. I didn't see it coming quite so directly. Fair enough; it doesn't change my love for the character, and honestly, the confirmation of FunnyFrog stands out more to me. So, yeah."

*Afterwards*: "Holy shit, this completely recontextualizes so many previous actions and scenes—I'm a certified idiot; how did I not see it before?"

So after the events of episode 9, Leeroy (IRL Jax) somehow gets her hands on another one of those headsets somehow and ends up getting another brain scan. Since she’s now much more different than how she was when she originally joined as Jax, her new brain scan makes her appearance in the circus different to Jax’s (Like Gooseworx design for her if she wasn’t a piece of shit). So now there are two Jax’s in the circus, the one who abstracted, and Lee. So Lee hearing about all the stuff Jax did feels very surreal for her, realising this is what could’ve happened if she had never accepted herself. Now, it’s more uncomfortable with everyone else since they all have history of Jax, and even though they are different, it’s hard for them to separate who she is from who she could’ve been.
