Story time!! With a meme! The red one is Tadora, the blue one is who raised him (not his biological mother) She was super soft and caring, and by soft I mean big soft, ears weren't pointy, tail had curls instead of spiky tufts, big paws, she was like a big cloud. But Tadora doesnt know how, but she disappeared, and was replaced by someone who looked nearly like her, except the copy's ears were sharper, and her fur was the wrong color, and her paws were smaller. Tadora knew this wasnt his mother, but was too angry to think reasonably. He threatened, interrogated, and attacked the imposter, then left to find the real cat that raised him.

Tadora thought that he was an ordinary cat, like the rest of his town folk. He was told that his mother abandoned him as a child, or that she was killed, or kidnapped. No one was really sure, since no one was in the woods he was found in when he was born. No one knows how he survived so long on his own without dying. The lady who found him raised him from when she first found him at three months. She gave him a necklace with a shiny, yellow topaz gem that was found next to him. She told him that it was likely a gift from his mother, and he should keep it on him at all times.

For years, Tadora lived like he was taught. Normally, ordinary, like everyone else in his town. He finally wanted to meet his mother, or maybe even his father, and say bye to his adoptive mother, promising to visit during his travels.

He traveled as far as the world would allow. He’d been to lots of places, saw tons of things and people, had multiple experiences, but he failed to find either of his parents. Instead of return home, he went toward the ocean, find the nearest beach, and just relax to get rid of his stress and worries. A kind fisherman lent him his boat to take a short trip out to sea, to enjoy the breeze from the water. On the boat, Tadora tried to relax, yet it felt like someone, multiple people, were talking to him.

He looked up to check around him, but he was completely alone. He looked toward the sky, and told himself to calm down. Though, as he was doing that, his eyes caught a shape in the sky that looked oddly like his necklace. He believed to be seeing things, but then the thing seemed to call him forward. He would have responded, had a bright light not stolen him first.

It felt like lightning had struck him and stayed in his veins. He couldn’t feel the ground anymore, and he couldn’t help but writhe in pain in the air. He was frantic, wondering where the sky had gone, where the world had gone!

Just as fast as the pain started, it intensified. His eyes began to glow, and he froze as some sort of force held him in place. The pain came as a wave then, from his tail to his head. He grew golden markings he’d never had before, and glass shards took form around him. His claws, outstretched, went from the red of his markings to the gold of his new ones.

He would have let out a cry, if he was able, or maybe he did, but the voices were too overwhelming, the light was too overwhelming, the feeling was way too overwhelming.

He felt like this was his end, and this is what death felt like. Until he heard a voice. It was heavenly, and it said one thing to him:

“Come home, Tadora. Come back to us.”

After hearing the voice, the light got brighter, and it felt like he was torn in two, except he wasn’t. He heard some sort of explosion, or what sounded like one, and he hit water.

Days later, he found himself at the bottom of the sea, alive. He was confused, had he died? The markings were gone, and he still felt sort of numb. He made his way to the surface, and it was night. He continued his trek on land, dazed and scared.

After another few weeks, he learned he could make glass out of practically nothing, and just barely shape it however he wanted. There wasn’t much he could make, and he still heard voices telling him to come home, but until he figured out what happened, why it happened, and who was calling him, he decided that his life now, was fine. Just a little more special.
