Call it self-medicating, I'll take whatever works
It cancels out the pain I feel, it takes away the hurt
Excuse me while I pack a bowl and disappear for hours
At least there's something keeping me from crying in the shower
I saw rook has a gf too! I wish I could find her insta

The Deep Paths
A snippet based on this picture (The picture is not mine)
The forest towered around her. There weren’t many people who dared go this deep in these trees. The trees seemed to watch and whisper. The elven girl continued onward, unafraid of what she might find. She had been here before. She only felt she truly belonged when she dove deep into the forest, listening to the eldritch cries of the beasts of old.
Of course, one could not come this deep without being changed. Taela had already gone far enough in her walk that she had changed. Her eyes glinted like an animal’s, her legs shaped more like the hind legs of some huge snow leopard, with thick toes that kept her up across quicksand and mud, and a wispy kind of tail following behind her. She had left her cloak on a tree at the beginning of the Deep Paths. She did not need it here. She walked down the animal tracks, watching the plants and the prints in the dirt. She heard the loud sounds of the rabbits turned predator. But she did not fear them. She was more dangerous than they were.
