the way yall love to post untagged gore of jimmy is fucking wild and i hope you all die for it
.
I will compromise with the anons who keep complaining about my tagging system.
If I ever write for Ronance again in a Steddie fic please block “background ronance”.
And if whatever the fucking fic is in the tag is that big of an issue to you, PLEASE for the ever living FUCK send me an actual LINK next time you complain about it so I can actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
But tbh? Robin and Nancy have completely fallen off for me.
I like them as friends in canon. But the more I think about it I just do not see Robin going for her best friend’s ex even if he did say it was fine. Also the anons complaining about Ronance specifically make me inclined to just… not want to write for them anymore. Whether you meant to be mean or not, it comes off as “I’m incredibly annoyed seeing you in the tags and even though you’re a good writer (said only to lighten the blow) I can’t stand seeing your writing/username in the tags so much so that I’m going to go on anon and tell you how you should be posting because I have a god complex and I’m better than you and hate how you tag your posts”
There’s still some situations in which I might use Ronance (in when something might be canon adjacent and Chrissy isn’t an option since she’s dead)…
But the last few weeks of constant complaints has pretty much completely turned me off the ship.
i am legitimately BEGGING the “ask the choir” rp blogs to post to a different unified tag i can’t even find fanart or fics anymore it’s all just these rp posts oh my god. like #ask the chamber choir or #ask rtc would suffice but holy shit please PLEASE HAVE MERCY

what do you think about people not using warnings like ‘Major Character Death’ in their fics? i’ve seen it several times (over 10) in just the past few days, where i click on a fic tagged “fluff” or “hurt/comfort” where a member of the ship i’m reading for is killed off and that’s not something i want to read- which is why i filter out anything with the aforementioned tag. most often, in the comments they say it’s a “spoiler” but i still feel like it should be tagged regardless.
hmm, this is. a complicated question, to be honest
on one hand, i completely agree with you- tags are there for a reason, and it’s not fun to suddenly get something you really don’t want to see thrown in your face
on the other hand, i also see where the writer is coming from. throwing those punches at your reader is a joy, and if it’s a longer fic, warning about the character death from the very start can be kind of frustrating
(though also why a fic that features character death has fluff as a tag boggles the mind)
it would be kind of neat with a spoiler tag system- like it’s hidden unless the user specifically agrees to be shown the spoiler, though how that’d work is a mystery to me
i guess a way around it would be to like. mention it in the author note, or something? like put it behind a link. but that’d be kind of annoying to set up, especially if the writer is very prolific
atm, i guess the solution is the Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings tag, but eeeeeh, i’m not sure that’s particularly helpful? because while there’s a warning that there’s some kind of warning tag, there’s still no actual like. telling. of what tag it is
(and that’s not even touching on the fact that not everyone gets exactly what that tag means)
idk man, i don’t think there’s a good answer to that question. though i hope you’re okay! it’s not fun to get something like that suddenly thrown at you
me: hey guys I started learning how to drive today
my friends: run me over run me over run me over run me over run me over run me over run me over run me over
people kinda suck, don’t they?
(to other anon) people can want to have periods tagged for the same reason as any other bodily function: they can be squeamish. or if they're ftm it can trigger gender dysphoria.
(Period anon again) I don't owe an explanation and I'm glad that you said as much, but I honestly see people do this a lot and it really bums me out. (Feel free to post this, or not, whichever you're more comfortable with). First of all, I'm trans and deal with dysphoria. But even if I wasn't, my monthlies are extremely painful and most people would end up in the hospital from dealing with them. I don't want to see posts about periods because I don't like being reminded of how painful it is. 1/2
(Period anon) It's *not* normal for me. It's not normal to be in so much pain that you legitimately wish you were dead and actually consider doing it, or to be in so much pain that you literally cannot stay conscious, never mind actually being able to function. I feel like people don't understand that no, it's *not* normal for everyone. That no, there's a lot of reasons to not want to see it. And I'm sick of people making it personal when it's not. (Sorry for ranting, but yeah). 2/2

hey! a lot of people don't like period stuff because it can trigger dysphoria, on the basis of having one or not having one. just @ the anon who can't think of a possibility where someone could not want period stuff on their dash
