Imagine after Izuku goes rogue, Todoroki and Bakugou go after him for their own reasons.

A year or two has passed. The evil is defeated. It’s been a very dark time indeed. But they’re ready to heal now.

And for the first time since they left, Bakugou and Kirishima see each other outside the battlefield. Both are stopped in their tracks, staring at each other as this realization hits them. Kirishima starts to open his mouth to say something, but he’s cut off by Bakugou hugging him. He’s startled at first, but it doesn’t take him long to hug him back, absolutely crushing him against his chest.

“I missed you,” Kirishima tells him, though that’s rather obvious. He expects to be laughed off anyway, so it’s fine.

But the laugh never comes. Bakugou is just quiet, still holding him close. After a couple beats, he finally says, “I missed you too... Kirishima.”

abby killed joel. and, again after the jackson crew killed LITERALLY EVERY PERSON SHE HAD EVER LOVED, jesse. that is 2 people, with one of them being in response to Ellie and Tommy going on a murder spree that killed 7 of her friends (plus Joel killing her dad.) you are like... objectively on the wrong side of "character A caused so much more hurt to character B"

okay so 

1. I’m referring to the way in which the game tells the story/provides the audience with this information, by spending multiple hours showing us Ellie’s trauma and the after-effect of that trauma, only to then backtrack it and show “but the other side” in a very lazy way that does not do enough to make the comparison they are trying to make, especially considering what Abby inflicted on Ellie was revenge for something Ellie did not do/had no choice in.

2. I’m pretty sure I’m allowed to react to a form of media coming out with a story of “all sides”/”hurt is hurt” during a time in which me and my people are being forced to deal with that kind of weak ass argument being used against us in real life.

3. To add onto that, seeing as this story was partly inspired by the Israel-Palestine conflict, I’m once again, SUPER sure I’m allowed to make real-world comparisons to the issue behind stories that try to preach about “the cycle of violence”.

Same Prompt Party: January 2021

Prompt: Usagi Tsukino “New Year’s Fireworks”

One of my goals for 2021 is to use my watercolors more often.  So I decided that @docholligay‘s Same Prompt Party this year was a good place to start out.

This is a Sailor Moon fanart, for the January 2021 prompt of “Usagi Tsukino / New Year’s Fireworks”.  I went very literal on this interpretation.

Scenario: Ami gifted Usagi a fancy new polaroid camera, with the challenge of writing some of her photo captions in English.  Usagi loves the camera, and took a photo of her New Year’s celebration with Mamoru.

Art notes: I tried a new (to me) technique for watercolor resist painting, to get the colors of the fireworks to come through.  And after I was done, it was not sparkly enough, so I pulled out my shimmering silver/gold watercolors and accented the fireworks even more.  The second photo is a close up where the shimmer is showing up.  I’m happy with how it turned out and enjoyed painting it.

Also, I would like to improve my camera skills so that I can get better pictures to post.

Omigod I got some giving weird customer who started by asking me how old I was, if I was single, telling me I should date men 30-35 (I am 25) because if your boyfriend is 25 you're babysitting him and any younger is robbing the cradle, insisted on talking about his previous military service and asked if any of the men in my family were in the military, made me spell out all the letters using military alphabet (the alpha bravo Charlie thing) talked about how little he respected his daughter and millenials and that he should have been born 100 years ago when men were men. Then he started talking about jesus and how Paul was the best apostle because he got beheaded, went on a 5 minute thing about god and how everyone has the responsibility to witness or whatever God..... He killed me average handle time and made me feel so fuckinf awkward.

I am... 

I am not happy right now. I spent the day wrapping Christmas presents then spending four hours curled up in my chair reading North and South and trying desperately to pretend that the world outside does not exist. 

The only small speck of light for me in this clusterfuck of a last twenty-four hours is my own constituency. It was a Tory safe seat until 2017 when Labour gained it, and despite all the overwhelming odds, Labour held it yesterday, even though the exit poll for my area was too close to call and hedging toward Labour losing the seat. 

We’re a little tiny island of red in the midst of a sea of blue.
