this ep reminded just how much grant loves darryl. i guess my head filled in the blank and assumed grant had some form of anger or resentment towards his dad over what had happened with the blood pact and the tournament. its been over 20 years and both of them must have had to make peace with that event but, i feel like this also might just be a case of grant not prioritizing himself once again in service of keeping their relationship simpler(?) because they do undoubtedly love each other but again, that wilson family habit of just not talking has always been around even after the events of season 1 and their development since then. grant was also just dealing with so much in the aftermath of the blood pact that i dont remember if they ever really talked about darryl’s role in it.
this ep also reminded me just how much sparrow’s relationship must have changed since season one. this young boy who admired his father so much was then torn between what i imagine is just years of bickering and arguing with lark and henry. he’d have to have picked sides at a certain point and since he doesn’t talk to henry nowadays, we know what side he’s picked.
