Many people think the Nazca lines are only depictions of animals in a small area. In fact, the lines are so vast, so many shapes, sizes and lengths, that it is on a scale that is truly mind blowing. It is enchanting and awe inspiring to fly over this plateau, look down and admire the work of ancients in absolute wonder and curiosity. I first learned of the Nazca lines working at the health food store my dad and I eventually took over back in the day. My coworker, Wendy, had the monkey tattooed on her arm and as we would wash our fresh produce in the back room early in the morning before we opened our doors, she would drift off, starry eyed, telling me the mysteries of this place and how I *had* to go one day.
