🔴Takht-e Soleyman🔴 (Throne of Solomon) ⚫It is situated on a remote plain surrounded by mountains in northwestern Iran , West Azerbaijan province. ⚫Folk legend relates that King Solomon used to imprison monsters inside a nearby 100 m deep crater which is called "Prison of Solomon". ⚫On this fortified oval platform are an artesian lake, a Zoroastrian fire temple, a temple dedicated to Anahita (the divinity of the waters), and a Sasanian royal sanctuary. 🌊The lake is roughly 260 by 400 feet (80 by 120 metres), and its overall depth averages about 230 feet (70 metres) and drops to about 400 feet (120 metres) at its deepest 🔥In the Zoroastrian religion, fire together with clean water are agents of ritual purity. ⚫The area surrounding Takht-e Soleymān was probably first inhabited in the early Achaemenian dynasty (559–330 BCE). ⚫This site was destroyed at the end of the Sasanian era, but was revived and partly rebuilt in the 13th century. ⚫It was recognized as a World Heritage Site in July 2003. . . Anahita Temple at Takht-e Soleyman ‎معبد آناهیتا در تخت سليمان A temple attributed to Anahita, the goddess of water which is located to the northeast of the lake. People used to praise water in this temple. In some periods it was customary, in time of wars, to throw valuable and precious votive objects to the lake and believed that Anahita would protect them against enemies. So, there is hope for great treasure lying at the lake bed! معبد آناهیتا؛ معبد ستایش آب: معبد آناهیتا در شمال شرقی دریاچه در تخت سليمان نیز حائز اهمیت است، چون آناهیتا، الهه آب، مورد احترام ایرانیان باستان بوده است. با توجه به قداست و اهمیت آب در آئین زرتشت و در بین آریایی‌ها، معابدی برای نیایش و ستایش آب احداث گردید كه معبد آناهیتا (الهه آب) یكی از مهمترین آنها به‌شمار می‌آید. در ایران باستان آناهیتا فرشته و نگهبان آب و فراوانی، زیبایی و باروری است. آناهیته یعنی پاک و بی‌آلایش، این واژه در اوستا برای صفت فرشتگان و اشیاء، بسیار به کار رفته است، غالباً مهر و تشتر (تیر) و هوم و برسم و آب زور و فروغ و غیره به صفت آناهیته یعنی پاکی و بی آلایشی توصیف شده‌اند. در آیین زردشتی نگهبانی عنصر آب با فرشته آناهیتا (ناهید) می‌باشد، یكی از یشتهای اوستا به نام آناهیتا به آبان یشت معروف است، آناهیتا تنها ایزدی است كه اهورامزدا به او پیشكش ارزانی می‌دارد. ایزدبانوی آناهیتا را می‌توان ایزد پیش زرتشتی دانست؛ این فرشته در نزد ایرانیان قدیم دارای مقام بلند و ارجمندی می‌باشد. #sasanianarchitecture #sasanian #sassanian #sasanid #sassanid #sasanianempire #takhtesoleyman #Solomon #Azargoshasb #Zoroastrian #anahitatemple #goddess #water #WestAzerbaijan #iran #unescoworldheritagesite ‎ #آناهیتا #زرتشتى #ساسانيان #آتشكده (at Takht-e Soleymān)

Takht-e Soleyman (“Throne of Solomon”), also known as Azar Goshnasp, literally "the Fire of the Warrior Kings". The archaeological site of Takht-e Soleyman, in north-western Iran, is situated in a valley set in a volcanic mountain region. The site includes the principal Zoroastrian sanctuary partly rebuilt in the Ilkhanid (Mongol) period (13th century) as well as a temple of the Sasanian period (6th and 7th centuries) dedicated to Anahita. The site has important symbolic significance. The site has strong symbolic and spiritual significance related to fire and water – the principal reason for its occupation from ancient times – and stands as an exceptional testimony of the continuation of a cult related to fire and water over a period of some 2,500 years. ‎تخت سلیمان (یا آتشکده آذرگُشنَسب) نام محوطهٔ تاریخی بزرگی در نزدیکی تَکاب و روستای تخت سلیمان است. آتشکده آذرگشسپ ویژه ارتشیان بود و در شهر و محلی به نام شیز یا گَنجَک بر روی کوه اَسنَوند قرار داشت. ‎آذرگشنسپ به معنای آتش اسب نر است. بر پایهٔ افسانه‌های ایرانی این آتشگاه بدین علت این طور نامیده شده‌است که کیخسرو هنگام گشودن بهمن دژ در نیمروز با تیرگی شبانه که دیوان با جادوی خود پدیدآورده بودند روبرو شد. آنگاه آتشی بر یال اسب وی فرودآمد و جهان را دیگر باره روشن کرد و کیخسرو پس از پیروزی و گشودن بهمن دژ، به پاس این یاوری اهورایی، آتش فرودآمده را آنجا بنشاند و آن آتش و جایگاه به نام آتش اسب نر (گُشسب یا گُشنسب) نامیده شد. این محل هم اکنون تخت سلیمان نام دارد. پس پشت و پیش اندر آزادگان  هـمی رفتـه تـا آذرابـادگـان چو چشمش برآمد بذرگشسب  پیاده شد از دور و بگذاشت اسب ز دستـور پـاکیـزه برسم بجست  دو رخ را به آب دو دیده بشست بـه بـاژ انـدر آمـد بـه آتـشـکـده  نـهـاده بـه درگـاه جـشـن سـده #sasanianarchitecture #sasanian #sassanian #sasanid #sassanid #sasanianempire #Ilkhanid #takhtesoleyman #Solomon #Azargoshasb #Zoroastrian #firetemple #artesianlake #lake #WestAzerbaijan #sunset #iran #unescoworldheritagesite #زرتشتى #ساسانيان #آتشكده #درياچه (at Takht-e Soleymān)
