Kabu was going to go to bed, but as he placed his head on his pillow his phone started to ring. He was a bit annoyed at first since he was about to go to bed, but he knew that this call was important when he saw who was calling him.

He recognized the phone number as Allister’s and was interested in what was going on. “It’s not a problem Allister,” Kabu responded with a concerned tone. “Is everything okay? Did something bad happen?”

(She knew she could be too much with her chirpy and excitable demeanour.) “It is! There are a great variety of Pokémon in other regions that we can’t find over here in Galar.” Sonia explained as she looked towards the gym leader. “If you want to see we have a few books back at the lab.” Oh, right, she had to remember – she had some books back at the lab… not we… she was the Professor now, not just the assistant.

In all honesty, Edgeworth had asked that question of himself numerous times. He did not always get an answer in return. But such burdens were not Sebastian's to bear, so he neatly kept that truth locked behind his teeth.

Instead, he gave the answer he'd received from himself more often as of late. "My convictions. It is the pursuit of truth that keeps me moving forward, the certainty that every nook and cranny investigated improves the world."
