I have liked Mike Yard so far but that discussion of Talia Jane was terrible and he was out of line on so many fucking levels I could have punched him. He complains about this woman and her situation like she chose to have this situation where she is more than just broke she is in debt trying to live except living has become so stressful she contemplates the merits of that and he shouts the "why don't you just move" shit? She says in the letter her 1200 dollar apartment is the cheapest she could find. Why the fuck do people act like moving will solve everything? Do you know how much it costs to move? How much time and effort and money it requires, which, you may have noticed, if you're working a minimum wage job is WHAT YOU DON'T FUCKING HAVE. And he shits on her for writing this letter to her boss. Of course she did she had a legitimate gripe about her barely livable conditions tied to the way she was treated by the company and he just expects her to bear it? Why do we keep having to "bear it"? Why does Mike sound more like the generation that gives us shit for complaining about a world that refuses to change with actual conditions. Shut up and bear it, cause we were all there, says middle aged white hack also with them, who I only remember from a previous episode because I hated him and thought him a waste of air. Were you? You talk about a guy making his company at 14 from allowance money - HE HAS FUCKING ALLOWANCE MONEY??? do you know what allowance money is, you hack? It's spare money given to a kid for fun, do you think all families have this??? A lot of kids work for that "allowance" and it goes directly to KEEPING THEMSELVES FED. Why the fuck does that shit talk about "refugees have it harder" but doesn't notice that she has it harder than a 14 year old kid who gets money handed to them every week??? Mike what the fucking shit, man I mean though she didn't mean to get fired, she probably expected it on some level and everything that she talks about is real and not an insignificant quibble. Shut the fuck up, man.
