Moon Events:

Bluegale gives birth to a single kit, a noisy tom named Violetkit!

A rogue named Splinter decides to join the clan! While the newcomers before her have taken on more clan-like names, Splinter decided that she likes her name as it is!

Hawthornnight and Sootback are seen enjoying a moonlit stroll together.

LONGEST one-parter moon I’ve done so far and to be honest, I could’ve made it easier on myself by splitting it up in parts, but I’d rather make myself suffer it seems 🥹!

Anywayyy, say hello to the newest member of the clan! Some of you might remember Splinter from Moon 5! Insane to think that she’s back after so long. I ended up changing her design to something more my liking.

Oh and Violetkit!! I just realized a year since he was born in-game that he and his mom’s name kinda match haha. Both are cool colors and violet is made after blue is mixed with red 🥺! Also his eyes are heather-blue, which is kinda purple and you know, Bluegale’s eyes are blue? You get what I’m saying 😭!

Moon 33 - Winter

Moon Events:

While scavenging for any herbs she could find in the snow, Mulberrystripe finds a heavily pregnant queen currently in labor. Abandoning her current task, she’s quick to take the young cat back to the clan’s camp, where she safely delivers a litter of 4 kits— three girls and one boy.

The new mother, the sneaky Axel, decides to permanently stay and raise her kits in the clan. Her kits are: a charming girl named Eaglekit, a shy girl named Fuzzkit, a skittish girl named Ryekit, and the only boy of the litter— the know-it-all Pebblekit.

Moon Events:

Sapflow, Bluegale, and Loudpeak become ill after eating tainted prey. While Bluegale and Loudpeak make swift recoveries, Sapflow’s health deteriorates drastically and he passes away at the age of 79 moons old.

Snowflower and Icystar are ambushed by a dog! Icystar’s leg is broken in the encounter and, unfortunately, Snowflower is killed. He was 39 moons old.

Wow! What’s a TallClan year without another founder dying and the clan struggling to keep their numbers afloat! And I’m sure Loudpeak, who just became deputy last moon at 13 moons old, is going to recover just fine from this traumatic change in his life!

Moon 24 - Spring

Moon Events:

TallClan puts out the word to all local groups of cats, desperate for any sign that Tawnyfrost is still out there. They hear nothing back.

While delivering the word about their missing warrior, Sapflow brings a loner back to camp. Snowflower has offered to help them look for Tawnyfrost. He knows a lot of cats that live around the territory. Someone is bound to know something about Tawnyfrost.

And with this moon, moon updates for TallClan are going to be on hiatus! I’m going to be participating in Inktober this year. I’ll also be taking this time to finish writing the script for Year 3 and designing new characters that will be introduced (there are a LOT of them). After all of that is done, moon updates will resume! I’d also like to take this time to give you guys all a huge thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown for this blog! At the time of writing this, we’re 6 followers away from 200! It astonishes me how far this blog has come, both in following and hitting that Year 3 milestone in-story! 🥹💕!!!

Icystar wakes from another nightmare, feeling as though she’s being haunted by the ghost of the one she grieves.

Loudpeak tells Icystar that he was worried for her.

Last part of Moon 30! And fun fact! Originally, Moon 30 was going to be a one-parter with only Tawnyfrost’s arrival. When I first wrote the script for Moon 30, I couldn’t figure out what to do for these two specific events at the time. It only came to me when I started drawing Moon 30!

While Mulberrystripe is happy for the young tom’s return, she can’t shake off the uneasiness pit brewing in her stomach.

LOOK WHO’S BACK YIPEEE!!

I think now is a good time to tell you guys that Tawnyfrost had actually been taken by humans in-game! I just decided to take creative liberties with his sudden disappearance.

I can’t remember if he returned on his own or whether it was one of my many attempts to get him back. I do remember frequently looking for him (and failing) the moons shortly after his abduction, because at that point, Icepaw was dead and in-game Hawthornnight had a broken back, and I did not want to lose any more of the clan’s youth 😭!

Moon 29 - Summer

Moon Events:

Bluegale announced that she’s expecting kits! She decides to move into the nursery right away and start early in preparation for her litter’s arrival.

It is Sootpaw's willingness to sit and listen that assures the other clans’ healers it's time to give her her name of Sootback at 17 moons old. Sootback thanks them graciously and tucks herself back down to listen to the next cat speak. She was honored for her grace. She still retains her compassionate nature.

After 8 long moons, Hawthornnight is well enough to leave the healers’ den and proceed with her new duties as a warrior. Despite the good recovery, the injury will forever remain as a scar and a daily reminder of Hawthornnight’s close encounter with death.

KITS! YIPPEE!! It’s been a year since the clan had kits around, so this is very much welcomed news! (As a reminder to everyone, at this point in the game, the clan is allowed to have kits with an unknown, second parent.)

And Sootback has graduated! Originally, I thought about including her naming ceremony, but I did not have the inspiration to write it, unfortunately 😭! All I can say, inspired by the event, the Lead Healers from other clans all come together and determine whether a healer apprentice is ready to become a full healer through a rigorous exam. The name granted to the new healer is either one suggested by their mentor or the Lead Healers Council!
