favorite thing about them: he cares a lot and he’s such a good man. he realized he had privilege and decided he needed to help people.

least favorite thing about them: this is more the fault of various dc writers than ollie himself but god. stop cheating on dinah, you bag of dicks.

random headcanon: when ollie adopted roy, he wasn’t looking for a kid. he was doing a favor for brave bow and it took a very long time for him to see roy as a son, which is why he wasn’t the best guardian when roy was still a kid.

unpopular opinion: stealing this from @anelderling - ollie should be a white man - preferably a rich one. he has the potential to be an amazing ally and that doesn’t work when he’s part of a marginalized community.

I'm just going to say it: I'm shit at knowing how to handle this. But it's your birthday, I didn't forget that, and I hope this is okay. It's a rose mallow, or hardy hibiscus, and it'll grow well even here in Maine, and come back every year.
