Tamir Rice was a 12 year old boy murdered by police officers Timothy Loehmann and Frank Garmback while playing with a toy gun at a recreation park near his home, in Cleveland Ohio. Video released shows officer Loehmann fire two shots at Tamir within seconds of the officer’s arrival; before the car came to a complete stop (video below). After the encounter neither Loehmann nor Garmback administered first aid and Tamir subsequently died the next day. Over a YEAR later with many delays as well as a corrupt prosecutor there is still no justice for Tamir - neither officer has been CHARGED with Tamir's murder. http://ow.ly/OQ913 In response to a National call by Tamir Rice's family the NYC RISE UP 4 Tamir Coalition was formed. Demands: - The immediate termination of Officers Loehmann and Garmback. - A recommendation of criminal charges against the officers to the grand jury by Prosecutor McGinty OR McGinty's recusal and appointment of a special prosecutor. - The release of ALL video and photographs documenting the murder of Tamir.
