He spoke every word slowly, hoping some part of it would sink it. It appeared that somehow Toris didn’t understand the gravity of his actions. The fact that he almost died seemed to be lost completely. Gilbert, for once, hadn’t stepped in to be a douche. He stepped in to do the right thing, to warn Toris. But if the Lithuanian wanted to take it for granted, Gilbert would be more than happy to step right out.
