Having a sibling is either “we ride together we die together” or “no officer I’ve never seen that person before in my life” there is no in between.

A very rushed sketch! I’ve been wanting to draw this because AAAAH Singapore and Hong Kong are often pegged as twin cities irl due to similar urban development, economics, port cities and used to be under England. Plus, their hairstyle is almost similar ( Joshua has more spikes ). A little costume switcheroo? :33 @diimsum
Tell me!'
Send me 'Tell me!' And I the mun will reveal one thing about myself

“He does, doesn’t he? I do believe he was much more obedient as a child. All of his economic success does not make up for his rebellious streak.”
Joshua, on the other hand, was much more like the ideal child that Yao would have liked to have. Just interacting with the younger nation allowed his frayed nerves to straighten out and allowed his mind to relax.
“I didn’t make anything too special, as I was expecting Leon, but I do happen to have some durian in the fridge, if that pleases you.”
【 ✯ the sea surrounds 】 ❝When I first met him, I thought that he was the quiet type. Not before long, I began to find out that he is someone with many... ( pranks ? ) clever ideas.❞ Back then were the days he was still reliant on England and often attempted to excel in his studies in impress. Although, he now still remained as a bookworm. He was often labelled as a nerd or crybaby and frequently getting picked on. Sometimes, he did admire the strength that Leon held.

Cultural Note on Names and Titles: a roleplaying preference
First of all, I have to thank all my roleplaying partners for being such wonderful friends! You are all so very engaging and exciting writers, and even better as friends that I can talk to!
I just have a quick request: Can Yao’s family members to choose a proper title to call him by instead of using his first name?
Of course, this is up to you, I will never force such a thing on anyone, but I do have a reasoning for this. And again, I must stress that this is my personalpreference, you don’t have to do this if you don’t feel like it! If you have any questions, you can always ask me!
Explanation is below the cut!

Oh, I can certainly agree to that. When it comes to names, it’s very common that you don’t get to hear someone’s given name during exchanges between Chinese. It’s pretty much the same for Singapore ( although, we have some Western elements added from time to time ) since our ancestors came from China and the majority of our population are Chinese. Aside from families, it’s also unusual for strangers to address each other by their given names. I suppose the more common exchanges I have heard between Chinese adults who doesn’t know each other well are like (surname)先生 or (surname)太太. Even with teachers, we often address them as (surname)老师 instead of any of their names as a standalone. Between a youngster and an adult who barely knows each other, we often call them 叔叔 (male) or 阿姨 (female). Of course, some parents would jokingly tell us to call them 哥哥 or 姐姐 instead so as to appease their age which really led me to calling some by those titles LOL. Family wise. It’s so so so complicated when we’re talking about extended families. You can see how much the Chinese takes titles in high regards. The way you address families from your mother’s side and father’s side are so different. Also remembering that the Chinese in the past ( I’m not sure about now ) has HUGE families. My grandmothers have five children each, all married which makes it difficult for us grandchildren to remember the twenty different titles we have to address them by. Even for grandmothers, we have two different titles -- 奶奶 ( father’s side ) and 外婆 ( mother’s side ). Then there are also other titles like 舅母, 舅舅, 大舅母, 小舅母 etc etc. Honestly, I get so confused that I just try to be quiet during reunion dinners. Doesn’t stop my grandma from telling me to address all of them, naming all the different titles ( and boy, they were really so damn different ) in full speed which I can’t even catch them all in time to repeat. LOL. Same goes with my cousins. Family though, my mom calls me 姐姐 and my little brother 弟弟. In Singapore, there are instances whereby Chinese parents call their children by their English names but really very rarely do they call them by their Chinese names until they are mad as shit and it becomes a cue for me to bolt when my mom calls me 吴芊慧 LMAO. So yeah, the whole proper title thing is cool! Even if Joshua isn’t a family of Yao’s, he’d most likely call him 叔叔 even if he is more or less influenced by Western culture to some extent. Chinese culture is still pretty damn strong in here.
Bold what applies to your muse.

Common or not, it did not help Lithuanian think any better about the weather. He could almost feel sorry for coming all the way here, even if it was to ‘see more of the world\ now that he could finally do so freely.
“I-I did!..” A short sigh escaped brunets lips before continuing on. “Are there any places worth seeing you’d suggest, mister?”
【 ✯ the sea surrounds 】 It was rather amusing whenever European countries ( or those accustomed to the cold ) visited his island. It could not be helped that he was near to the equator, which excluded him from any chilly climates. A pity it was as he would love to have some snow and its pure whiteness. ❝More than you can imagine, despite this being a small island. One of our famous tourist spots is Sentosa. It’s famous for its beaches, Tiger Sky Tower, Underwater World and Butterfly Park and insect Kingdom. However, if you are not into the flashy stuff and throwing money around, there are quite old and historic sites too. Like, the Istana Woodneuk. It’s an extremely old building so you might want to be careful in there.❞
