why and how did thanos become a zombie

Why didnt a hulk cage hold zombie Namor for more then like 2 minutes. Like hulks who deal he is the strongest, even Thanos had to leverage his hand to hand training to beat Hulk. Grant it the holding cell wouldnt have held the hulk.
