hey do you think you would ever change the names in tangled ribbons and publish it as an original work? i was obsessed with it in high school and i’d love to own a physical copy

this ask has been sitting in my inbox for almost two weeks and ive just been 

short answer is probably no, though 

tbqh, at This Moment In Time, i don’t feel super comfortable just repackaging my fanfic as original writing, although i totally get those who do it. BUT it’s always something i’ll be considering!!! i think if i’m ever like...an established traditional writer with like an agent and stuff, i’ll definitely put it on the table 

another reason i wouldn’t do it right now is i would want to MASSIVELY edit it!!! i’ve been pretty vocal about not liking the pacing and thinking some of the characterizations are wack. but i’m also very proud of it as a work that i spent a long time on and cared a lot about! it would just have to go through many many many round of edits— and i would probably want a few more professional/experienced dancers to take a look to make sure that it’s believable because i did make up a lot of bull regarding the program 

tl;dr: it’s unlikely but not impossible!!! i’m still really really touched by all the people who enjoyed it and read it and am <3 <3 at all of you 

(and if you wanted to download the epub, reformat it into a file, and print a singular hard copy for yourself and NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION OR MONETARY GAIN, i would totally be down with that (everyone please note that disclaimer in bold) and if anyone did that please send pictures)

Soooo, I reread tangled ribbons for the millionth time, and remembered my old/unfinished sketches and decided that I should finish them. @sadrien I go back every few months and reread this story because I love it so much it’s so well written and adorable you should all read it if you haven’t.

(P.s. (spoilers if u haven’t read it) I know Chloe threw more than one pair in the tub and theoretically she didn’t throw them in with a bath bomb BUT, in my defense, aesthetics)

so i was in calc. got bored. doodled this. recently i finished one of the best ml fics i've ever read, tangled ribbons by @sadrien it's so beautiful and funny and heartwarming. if you want to feel inspired, go read it. anyway, the doodle was inspired by that fic. (apologies for the awkward butt. i should've sneaked a peek at a reference photo or something under the desk.)

Legitimately crying because @sadrien finished Tangled Ribbons and I'm so proud of them and all the work that was put into it and I can't even describe how beautiful the last chapter was and I felt so many things and now I'm rambling and oh my god just know I love you and am so proud
