Does anyone know if Aquarium salt in a tank can mess with the API Test kit's Ammonia test? Because I did it today and I had 1.0 ppm of Ammonia show up. The thing is, I'm changing 50% of his water every day in order to help him combat fin rot. My nitrite and nitrate were both at 0 ppm.

Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone have any advice?

Here is the current progress on the tank shelf. Poor Beckett has been moved to a temporary tank, he is in bad shape and struggling and I don't think he'll be with me much longer... So once he actually passes I'm going to start plans on building a small community and redoing the decor in the 10 gallon.

My husband finally finished my tank shelf! This project has been a long time in the making, ever since I bought an industrial metal “utility” shelf that immediately bowed under 5 gallons of weight once we moved the half full 10 gallon onto it. I decided that was a no go so that shelf got moved to the garage for boxes out there. I love my much sturdier shelf! Now I will get to see both my boys all the time! 😁 The end game for this is to get my 5 gallon back up and running on that top shelf next to Frisk, and eventually we're going to close in that bottom shelf and put doors on it. I’m excited. 😁

doing a small experiment, Read that crawfish will eat snails, so hopefully i can avoid having to kill the snail eggs myself if i drop them in Vanilla’s tank.
