After watching your yellowfang video, I have a new headcanon on how all these crazy genetics are in this one random feral cat population:

There was a cat show that was being held in some town nearby and something happened (fire or sabotage or an earthquake ect.) so a bunch of pedigree cats escaped and then those cats formed the clans so now there's a ton of rare recessive genes that pop up frequently because they've been inbreeding for so long. And then the occasional out crossing from unfixed house cats/other feral cats leads to more dominate traits like the standard brown tabby being common in the population too.

GOD I know what you mean about the gender thing. Being kind of a girl (not really but most people use She/Her pronouns and I'm fine with any including masculine or gender neutral) and not quite wanting to be a dude or neither. but yeah breasts are the WORST. they're always In The Way and bras are expensive and uncomfortable and UGH. So damn annoying

I don't HATE being referred to with she/her, but I find I prefer it most when I know the people I'm talking to KNOW I'm nonbinary? It's like I know they recognize/respect that it's just one facet.

And trust me, I will do most anything to get these bitches removed. Breast cancer runs in my family and I WILL ham that shit up. You guys can pay for a 5,000 dollar surgery now or wait until I have cancer and pay 13,000 for a mastectomy and potentially chemo. Fite me doc.

So I found your genetically accurate family tree videos a couple of months ago. And first, the way you lay them out is incredibly well done and easy to understand, even for someone who has no background in genetics and hasn't done anything with genetics in like 15 years.

But my main passion in life is art, and I just wanted to say I ADORE your character designs and how you simplify something as complex as a cat and their coat patterns. So I've been studying your style to teach myself how to draw cats, and I wanted take a crack at drawing my own cats in something close to your style and I'm actually really proud of how they turned out.

Pickles (the tabby) was harder to nail down, but Cricket is just so Shaped that she just really works in this style.

Hey, I just wanted to say sorry for how angry/grumpy I sounded in my response to your post. It was about 3:00 in the morning and I had a string of people on my dash genuinely upset at them for various things that weren't necessarily their faults (and/or things that they joked about and were taken very out of context) and I got frustrated. And yours was the one I could respond most coherently to at 3:00 in the morning.

first of all, i am so sorry for seeing this so late, i just saw i had a few asks that i don’t know how long they’ve been sitting in my inbox and i never got any notif thanks tumblrsecond, you’re totally fine, i wasn’t mad or anything and i get it, i was joking and i thought that was obvious but it wasn't then, like this jokingly being mad at something when you super duper love them and there’s this one thing™ that makes you mad but not really……yeah i should stop but i hope you get my point so no need to apologize, i get frustrated with some people being actually upset with them about some some stupid unnecessary things too
