After watching your yellowfang video, I have a new headcanon on how all these crazy genetics are in this one random feral cat population:
There was a cat show that was being held in some town nearby and something happened (fire or sabotage or an earthquake ect.) so a bunch of pedigree cats escaped and then those cats formed the clans so now there's a ton of rare recessive genes that pop up frequently because they've been inbreeding for so long. And then the occasional out crossing from unfixed house cats/other feral cats leads to more dominate traits like the standard brown tabby being common in the population too.
HAHA holy shit yeah.
