I dunno if I talked about it here but my first tarantula (Scampers, male d pentaloris) died a while back. I've been wanting another to raise up! They are such fun little spiders and I can't wait to watch this one grow.

Cleared out a bamboo island to hunt tarantulas. At one point, I ran off a tiger beetle, only to have a tarantula waiting on the beach react. And let me tell you, as someone with crippling, CRIPPLING arachnophobia, no matter how many of those things I catch, no matter how easy they are to sneak toward, nothing can prepare you for one of those fuckers suddenly sprinting toward you.
