GGY Week Day 7: Free Space AU

and here’s tarbell! he’s apart of an au of mine where tony gets glitchtrapped instead of killed at the end of ggy. there’s plenty of notes about his design on the drawing, but i’m not gonna talk much about the au itself since it’s an aspiring fic that i wouldn’t want to spoil. tarbell and rab are very close though :) they are 100% completely different entities and people from gregory and tony tho. very sentient, they just… may not have very humanlike morals and values lol

i’ve made tons of art for these 2 recently (most in my sketchbook) so i’ll probably share more later!

"Bye bye, Tony Becker." GGY croons. Tony leans back in the chair, further and further from the smiling mask, but its useless. Soon, all Tony can see is the blinding blue light of GGYs eyes. It overtakes his vision. "It was fun watching you fail, but your time is up."

Tony only has time to open his mouth before something heavy is being shoved over his eyes.

Everything is thrown into darkness. All of his senses are muddled, desaturated and flat like GGY felt. It feels like Tony is looking at a fogged up mirror. Theres a static and ambience ricocheting through his ears and he feels like hes being split in two.

Theres a figure in the darkness, and it has rabbit ears.

Just read chapter 8 and gosh Rab was tweaking so much 😭 but I love how in his final moments it was kinda like he was starting to act like a child I almost felt bad, I kinda think of it as how since rab was the favorite he never lost or had anything bad happened to him but since he actually did lost he’s now emotional because of it.

KDJWKJR he lost it and he died because of it. L bozo

YES that's such an interesting way to think about it!! wont say much bc I dont want to spoil anything from the last chapter but Tarbell WAS the first person to like. be actually close to Rab so it was pretty awful for Rab when he bit the dust 😬

There’s that sort of fear and sadness i get with Rab, the way he reacted towards the only person he grew close to and didn’t hate him was then deleted, the way he completely lost all chill and went full on manic, saying things you’d never expect Greg to say, especially to his closets friend, it says a lot. But then when he’s pinned to the ground by Vanny having no control over anything anymore and knowing it was the end for him, he just pouts like a child, wishing it never ended in such a way, he just wanted what he could have, and it was taken away from him. I love that you gave Rab, Tarbell and even Vanny their own separate emotions from Tony, Greg and Vanessa, let’s us know they are their own people who have feelings too, simply forced to take the bodies of others to exist, it’s a sad plot but gives them character instead of just, “oooo heyyy i’m an evil virus and I only like to kill!!!!” I love that in stories :)

anyway!! an outstanding story as always percy!! (am i allowed to call you that?!?! I get really anxious calling people by names that aren’t their users :,0) I can’t wait for the next chapters of this story and see the end! ^^

also very excited to see more ideas of yours, story and art wise! :))

I really really wanted to write about the rabbit viruses as people created FROM the humans they possess (and glitchtrap) and explore the concept of since they're sentient and people and have souls, who says they cant change and grow as they live more, seeing more and more outside of what they were created to do as time goes on

I talk a lot more about my thought process an true feelings about the fic in the notes of chapter 9, so expect a dump of thoughts there lol!!

I cant exactly explain why I wrote rab this way right now since thatd be spoilers for the last chapter, but just know I'm so up for talking more about wormwood after its finished!!!
