Rules of free readings
Free readings are offered all the time on Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, and more, but how well do you know the etiquette of getting a free reading? If you’re unsure, let me help you!
1. Never feel entitled to a reading or the readers time. A reader does not owe you anything, especially since they aren’t getting paid. You aren’t the only one asking for a reading, so please don’t demand we treat you as such!
2. Obsessive interaction with out blogs will not make us get to your reading faster. Rest assured that we’ve gotten your reading, so please stop obsessively flooding our notifications to get our attention, especially if you only just recently sent your ask. It’s easy to see when someone genuinely likes your content or they just want you to move faster and that can be disheartening.
3. Feedback and tips are really nice! I know not everyone can really tip their readers, but you most certainly can leave some feedback. It’s kind of like fanfiction, you had time to read their story or to write your question, so maybe spare a few more moments of your time to let us know how we did?
4. We are not vending machines. Sometimes we run out of energy, and similar to what I mentioned in my second point, please don’t hound us for your reading. Readings take energy, and some people are pretty low on spoons. We’ll get to you as soon as we can, I promise!
5. Please read our rules! What one reader had in their rules may not be in the next readers rules. To make sure things go smoothly, please make sure you do as we ask you!
