What if everyone had an animation like a Final Fantasy victory dance when they completed little tasks?
OTL
I give up.
i have this little calendar i made myself to keep track of when i take my meds
cuz sometimes i took them and can't remember if i did
or i will not have taken them and thought i did
and i don't necessarily have /enough/ imo to need one of those pill boxes for organizing nor do i want to sit down every week to diddle with one- plus i have a nasal spray i use 5 days for one week then take the following week off, and i can't use a pill tray for that.
i enjoy marking off on my calendar the morning and night and crossing off the day~
it's nearly the end of the year so it is time to make a new calendar
and i was doing great
i was already on April after having to erase many mistakes and correcting errors i made due to my issues with numbers and getting mixed up (i even put 9, 8, 7, 6, 7, 6, 5,)
yeah can't do that shit with a calendar hebdhdhahavd
and then i notice not only is my number off for april (i somehow got it to having 31 days???,) but i also noticed the end date for April 2023 was off, so i finally pull my phone back out and go all the way back to december and start moving forward and to see where i fucked up and
i did the fucking number thing again
in october
and didn't notice
i did
29, 28, 29, 27, 26...
and i didn't realize
until i got to fucking april
i am working backwards
all these other months i got all fucked up
hwhsghzuh
i will try again later but i am taking a break now lmao.
Gratitude Journal
Two days in a row now I've accomplished a necessary task in the time between my morning workout and my noon work shift. A lot of times I just read or play on my phone, but yesterday I called three doctors (secured one appointment), and today I did my physical therapy exercises and downloaded a freelance work project.
Calling the doctors is something I've been putting off since, if I'm honest, September. It has been busy, but not too busy for me to make some calls. I'd been burned out after six weeks of appointments and testing this summer and finding someone new seemed really hard, but I finally took care of it. (Appointment isn't until December 22, but it's on the books.)
Also, I caught myself freaking out when my husband said "okay" in a kind of clipped tone and I thought he was mad at me, but then I reminded myself that he's straightforward, says what he means, and I hadn't done anything wrong, and sure enough we were laughing together later.
Also also, I've been chiller at work (with the exception of Friday when they started the Christmas music WAY TOO EARLY and when I told my boss we were on the SIXTH iteration of Rudolph in 3.5 hours, he changed it) and more tolerant of the employees who annoy me. I tell myself it's not my job to police or teach them, and I just find another task elsewhere.
Plus, I had a big project that I finally got paid for yesterday, and it's nice to see my bank account actually growing.

The Joy of Completing a Task
This will be a very short post. Less than 500 words. Let’s go! Last month, I decided to create an office manual for my department. A handbook any new staff can read to get around what we have in the store and what they do and all that stuff. Asides for the manual, I’m also working on a catalogue that will have all our products so instead of sending individual pictures, I can just send a pdf file…
To Read or To Write: The Ultimate Quandary
Skipping a Day to Read Yesterday, there was no new post. Why? because between walking, work, and ballet, I filled my time reading a newly acquired book by Mercedes Lackey from her Elemental Masters series entitled “Jolene”. Without giving too much away, if you’re a Dolly Parton fan, you’ll get a kick out of this one! Since I went dancing on Sunday, which rarely happens these days, I had to finish…

Cool/messed up dream alert:
It was basically a weird dimension hopping/trapped-in-a-dimension game where, along with a whole bunch of people, my mother and I were sucked into a strange location. We weren’t allowed to leave until we completed a given task within a set time limit (stuck in a grocery store until we retrieved certain items in our cart). Once the time limit started running out, the location would start to repeat on itself (the first aisle would suddenly become the last aisle), and we’d all have to rush to the waiting area where an elevator would eventually activate to take us to the next round/location. If people didn’t make it to the waiting area in time, they would disappear somewhere else if they attempted to enter, claiming they could see another location (an old man on a store scooter claimed he could see a bunch of “vacation homes” before he disappeared, and a frustrated guy leading a bunch of people claimed that “this wasn’t gonna beat them” and when they tried to rush the waiting area, they all disappeared right at the area’s limit).
Eventually, the elevator light would activate, signifying that we could get it. However, even that had a time limit, and I have no idea what happened to the other people waiting if the doors closed before they could rush in. I remember yelling frustratedly at my mother to hurry up and get in because of said time limit. She made it, but others who rushed didn’t, and, looking at the space available inside the elevator, I had no idea how all us would’ve been able to fit inside anyways….
Soon, the elevator took us to a new location: the fancy middle floor of a skyscraper, maybe a hotel (for those familiar with Youmacon in Detroit, Michigan, it resembled the main building it’s housed in). I woke up before I learned what the task was in that place.
Very weird and high concept dream…. I’m surprised that I was doing so well in it. 😰
