ROOSEVELT ROW
by Tato Caraveo
A frequent collaborator with Phoenix artist JB Snyder, Caraveo and Snyder painted this wall off of 4th St. in the Roosevelt Row district of Phoenix in 2016. The work replaces a collaborative piece the two had done together a couple of years earlier, but divided as the large space is by a large palm tree their work this time around functions much more independently and Caraveo’s portrait is much more visible, peering over the cars parked below. Phoenix New Times reports that when Caraveo isn't painting murals or other fine art works he might be found playing bass with Sunorus or working at combination bar, gallery, and live music venue The Lost Leaf. @tatocaraveo
