[oc] Estranged kin
trying to get their faces right
Nauticas but they have gold and silver nails.
Fun Facts:
- Geras count as a Nautica due to him being the Nautica blueprint.
- Geras is the only Nautica that can switch between gold and silver. But he likes gold the most.
- Shinnok Zealots always have sharp nails.
Ash gets a new robot and chases Tavus
tfw the general is mad at you
it could be worse Elara you could be in a prison starving for food and losing all hope. Yes i guess you could say I’m a downer
Aric’s gonna disobey my orders again i can just feel it
the face of an Ash being flirted with by Jonas
Jonas we need information not fun times
mission failed we’ll get em next time
wait Jonas just to be clear this thing you’ve heard is a tip right and not just a rumor
what do you mean that’s the whole point
well looks like this is a wild goose chase can we go find the traitors now?

my legs feel weird is that just me
oh don’t worry about your parents Elara they’ve probably been dead for a while, why are you frowning at me
wow forex you are well a lot
i like your attitude though
hey Tavus i was just telling Elara how I’m looking forward to ripping your arms off
of course forex you can help pull off Tavus’ arms
what do you mean psychopathic?
How about ranking(if you're still doing it): Nomen Karr, Darth Zash, Vivicar, Darth Angral, Tavus, and Nok Drayen?
Nomen Karr
i actually like nomen karr as a character and antagonist a lot. he’s an awful person and unquestionably a Bad Jedi, but. in a narrative that’s more nuanced than the ones fandom likes to permit, he’s a great commentary on how the idealism of the jedi has faltered in the face of three decades of war against an enemy that wishes their total destruction. he embodies one of the archetypes of DS Jedi, in that he lies and he manipulates and he uses, but he does so not (purely) for his own personal reasons, but because he wants to protect the Jedi and the Republic at all costs, and is jaded enough by three decades of war that he’s willing to sacrifice his own ideals - implicitly, when it comes to jaesa, so that others do not have to. to quote myself, he is a sacrifice that he is willing to make, walking a darker path than the Council would approve of and doing things he thinks other Jedi would not be willing to do in order to try and bring about the end of the threat of the Sith.
he also makes a great foil to an ls sw and an echo (though not quite a mirror) of baras.
8/10 would happily stab again
darth zash
another antagonist that i love as a character but hate as a person. she’s a manipulative lying backstabbing monster, who grooms the SI to be their gratefully unquestioning apprentice before pulling the rug out from under them. she contracts a case of expositional stupidity when it comes time for The Ritual, but there we go.
9/10
vivicar
as a personal antagonist for the JC, vivicar doesn’t quite work, not least because his issue is with syo and the gang rather than the JC personally. his story is a tragic one, but it also gets very little exploration outside of ‘let’s blame this all on yuon for being a GIRL’ (and not, like, terrek morrhage). (also given the way the rest of the JC story is chill with relationships, hating on yuon and duras for being young and hormonal is… Weird, but okay). i’d have liked some more exploration of what actually went on beyond ‘blaming people who boinked’, but that’s me. (on a meta level, something something sex-negative blame being cast in order to deflect the real issues is not an Unknown in authoritarian religious systems but it’s still at odds with how the jedi are depicted in the rest of the JC story so SHRUG)
i’d also have liked the opportunity to catch up with him like you can with bengel morr in the JK story. i’d liked to have done that with a lot of people who you can help and save in the Jedi stories. not get mails that say we’re sending them off on suicide missions or sending them to live in isolation.
4/10, mostly because there’s so little there to rate to begin with
darth angral
like a lot of things about the jk story, my issue with angral is that he’s a lot of wasted opportunity. he and tarnis could have been a very personal father-son tag team to the JK, and instead they’re both old news by the end of chapter one. angral is supposed to be one of the architects of the sack of coruscant, and yet we never hear of him outside of the jk story.
this all said, ‘if there is no death then where is my son’ remains one of the most powerful lines in vanilla and i get gutpunched every time
6/10
tavus
‘hurp a derp the senate did not do right by a special operations team that they would have not been involved with the mission deployment of in the first place, so we’re going to defect to the empire, who as a fascist theocracy are obviously going to be better about doing right by their troops, am i right’
0/10 would airlock every time
nok drayen
spends a lot of time being talked up by risha and built up by others throughout vanilla (vette, the ia story, etc) only to finally show up for two cutscenes, in which he’s an asshole and then immediately dies. (why didn’t risha wait until she could cure him, or did she just want shot of the old man? why didn’t he try talking to the jedi instead of kidnapping and torturing them? why couldn’t the star cabal do something, given everything else they had access to???)
underwhelming/10
