Bit of a theory time here: So Shi Mei created (?) the long hatred flower (?) so that Mo Ran would hate Chu Wanning, (or was the flower supposed to be for Chu Wanning so that he'd hate Mo Ran) and Chu Wanning would focus solely on Shi Mei. Consider me truly flabbergasted
