SO BAD
Thursday, Thursday, Thursday ...
Some things are irresistible. Such as random road signs. I think I picked up the 35km/h one when one of the roads near me was being resurfaced/gritted. The sign looked forlorn somehow just lying on the floor ... and I'm sincerely hoping it's something my (temporarily outside due to mouse assaults) houseplants can aspire to. I mean, imagine it, a houseplant travelling at 35km/h ... I'd love to see a mouse trying to keep up with that to get a nibble! ;-D
Alongside the houseplants is an old pair of sandals of mine. I've lost count of the years I've had them. Repaired and repaired until it just couldn't be done anymore. So ... can't get 'em repaired, can't wear 'em and somehow just can't bear to throw them away. Obviously you then put 'em outside and admire them each time you pass and remember the good times you had with 'em.
Creeping around the bottom of the picture is my lovely Tayberry. A delicious combination of raspberry and blackberry. Gorgeous flavour! The birds usually beat me to the berries ... but the one or two I've managed to taste were mmm mmm mmmmmmmm!! :-)
Yesterday I managed to get into the shiny metropolis with Biggest Dog. She was so pleased to be out and about and happily sat with my friend in the car whilst I investigated the delights of the magic middle aisle and got some of the weekly shop. I was good ... nothing magical made it into the trolley ... essentials only. And I know Biggest Dog would wholeheartedly agree that cheese and ham pastries were essential. There was the widest smile across her face and a plethora of crumbs all over the back seat as she claimed her prize.
Staying put today ... there's sunshine and ordering of fuds for the Hairy Horde to be seen to. Tomorrow will be Smallest Dog's turn in the shiny metropolis as she's off to the vet once more for a check up to see how her heart meds are performing. She seems so much happier and is enjoying her walks, so fingers crossed that things are going in the right direction.
Until the morrow ... or the day after ... but I'll definitely be back in the very nearish, vagueish, distantish :-) ...

Berries by Yahav
About ten years ago, during a hike in the Seven Lakes area of New Jersey, we found some tasty berries. Yesterday, thanks to @adventuresofalgy I found out what they are called. Thank you Algy! I drew the Tayberries for you and your assistant. :-)
