I’m working on a few different things at the moment but wanted to share a couple pics of how I think my OCs would act around other Bad Batch kids (Hera, Benni and Lyanna). I’m doing the 3 clone cadets and the 4 Force sensitive kids too (and maybe Suu/Cut’s kids).
Wyyntrr would be cautious but curious. Because of O66, he doesn’t trust easily but because of his unique connection to the Force, Wyyntrr can usually figure out a person’s intentions early on so he just needs to get to know people. For Hera, he’s interested in her because he feels she lives similarly to how he did during the War (being forced in situations you have no control over) and he enjoys sharing clone soldier stories. Wyyntrr does not trust Benni at all at first. Benni grows to be an ‘annoying acquaintance’ before a reluctant friend to Wyyntrr and it definitely takes time. Lyanna is a bit like Hera but…softer? More gentle? Idk how to explain it but I think instead of the ‘pilot/fighting’ thing Hera had going on, I think Lyanna is more ‘exploration’/adventure focused due to Phee. Wyyntrr enjoys exploring Pabu with the girls and he bonds easily with Lyanna.
Maisy is only cautious and will hold a grudge—something Wyyntrr notices that goes against the Jedi’s teachings. She doesn’t trust others outside those she deems as her family, her ‘safe people’. She latched onto Omega during O66 since she was on Kamino when it happened and Omega trusted the Batch. If Omega trusts them, then Maisy will at least be interested in why Omega likes someone. Due to her attachment/trauma, Maisy feels jealous any time her older siblings seem to be interested in someone else or ‘like someone more than her’ so when she sees Omega and Hera get along well, she wonders why Omega likes her so much. Maisy, like Wyyntrr, doesn’t trust Benni at all. Unlike Wyyntrr, she never trusts him and wonders why her older siblings seem to accept him over time. She thinks of him as an annoying acquaintance and nothing more.
By the time the group gets to Pabu, Maisy has unknowingly gotten more attached to Omega and Wyyntrr and when Omega starts hanging out with Lyanna, the Youngling starts to feel abandoned and replaced. She starts acting out and when she’s angry, lets the Dark Side unintentionally take over. From Lyanna’s POV she’s not sure why a 4yr old has beef with her since they just met and don’t know each other that well, despite the insistence from Omega and Wyyntrr that Maisy just needs time to warm up to her.
