Soaria stared down at the field before her, eyes scanning whatever dared to move under her gaze. A threat had been detected-- No, not a threat… An object of interest. It had been three days since Souren had sensed its arrival, of which he observed from a distance. But, it did not move, nor did it emit anything strange. It merely stayed stagnant, unmoving, unchanging, but it held a strange sense of power. What was it? He wanted to know, but he had other affairs to attend to. Naturally, he passed on the task to her, of which she begrudgingly accepted. She never did like scouting, regardless of where she was or who she was trying to find. It meant not to fight, not to stir up any trouble. How boring.
She merely leaned on her propped up knee, grumbling quietly to herself, not seeing anything of interest as the moon cast a shadow over her features. Maybe it was invisible? It was around here somewhere, but she couldn’t pinpoint it. And, well, she was far too lazy to go around and check every nook and cranny for something she wouldn’t be able to discern. Sighing, her brows knitted in frustration, resigning to postponing this mission for another-- “Oh?”
She straightened up, watching a figure emerge from the shadows, eyes honing in on the target. It was him, it had to be him. She raised the gun she loosely held in her hand, pointing it at him and looking through her scope. He… Seemed too important to be someone from the city, and too aware. Clearly, he wasn’t from around here, let alone this world.
She swung a leg back and forth, tilting her head, noticing that he noticed her as she brought her gun down once more. Well, that didn’t take too long, but it wasn’t as though she was hiding from him. She jumped down from the edge of the crumbling building, landing effortlessly, her eyes never leaving the unfamiliar man. Strange looks, appearing out of nowhere, having piqued Souren’s interests… Yes, he held all the requirements to be deemed as someone like them.
She walked towards him at a slow pace, icy blues glinting in the moonlight as she took her time to assess him. He was powerless, she knew that at least, which was why she circled him carelessly. However, regardless of the aura she gave off, she was no predator, and he was no prey. She was merely here on orders, though the interest he rose in her helped in making sure she would do a thorough job, wondering from which land he hailed from.
But, a job was a job, a priority above everything, especially her own interests. Stopping directly in front of him, she placed a hand on her hip, the other tapping her gun on her shoulder.
“And who the hell are you?”
