A Glow ~ The Brave Little Toaster Mini Fanfic

Blanky is successfully brought down from the tree branch and gives thanks to Kirby for saving him. While the appliances prepare to travel again, Blanky sees Lampy for the first time since he had been blown away in the storm, his damaged appearance alarms him and he promptly asks,

Blanky: "Lampy, what happened?"

Naively he thought Blanky wouldn't notice. Lampy was truly unaware of how heavily damaged he appeared.

Lampy: "Oh, wow, you noticed that."

He let out a quick cough of static, then he nervously shifted his eyes while answering,

Lampy: "I guess I had an idea that worked a bit too well I guess."

Radio chimed in: "For once, I think I prefer your ideas that don't work. Like that pogo stick idea."

In response, Lampy shot Radio his furled brow.

Toaster swiftly interjected: "Lampy recharged the battery, we wouldn't have been able to continue far without it!"

"Ha ha ha, I sure did, didn't I!" as Lampy said this, he lifted his cord to make a small shrugging gesture, this caused Blanky to see Lampy's cord had been frayed, he gasped in shock, then muttered while covering his mouth,

"How bad did it hurt?"

Lampy: "You know um, quite a lot actually;" He paused to look directly at Blanky, -"But I felt something in that storm, no, something in me, it was like that glow, I hadn't felt that way in so long."

Toaster sent a soft smile to towards Lampy, and Blanky gave him a tight hug, causing him to exhale a few static sparks.

A hug was something Lampy usually didn't allow, instead he relaxed his head against the back of the chair and thought about everything that had happened since they had left the abandoned cottage.

Everything they knew was changing quickly, even themselves.
