You would think being in a large, rich family he would be happy right?

That's what he thought after being taken by his supposed father from his uncle's 'care.'

As a child he never desired anything, he already lost his will after enduring years of suffering.

So he wasn't surprised or mad that his new 'father' wasn't paying attention to him. He should be grateful to have a roof to live in and being fed at that.

Overtime that family grew as his 'father' kept adopting more children.

He didn't complain when they walk pass him. Didn't complain that his family seem happy without him. He's an outsider and he knows this.

So why put effort on trying to fit right in when he can just live as a guest?

Besides... Money is the only thing you can trust and despite being ignored his 'father' had enough decency to give him allowances. He'll be lonely sure, but he's living good.

Yeah.... That's sound nice.

Life had been... Great actually.

He grown used to the neglect his 'family' give him. Though. Father had adopted more children that he loved and gave attention more. But he didn't bother caring.

After graduating high school he flew to Korea to enter a collage there. Unfortunately he didn't foresee the disaster that will come with this decision.

He felt... Powerless, the whole city was in ruins and all he can do was cower. He wasn't like his 'siblings'. He was weak and didn't know how to fight. He would die here... He would die here....

That's when he met his new family.

He never told them of his origin or his family, besides he knew they were growing without him. His f- no Bruce probably adopted more while he was away.

His hyung, and jung soo.

They were like three peeds In a pod as they stick to one another, not leaving each other's side and always playfully teasing one another even in their current situation.

He loved them very much. He would do everything to keep them safe. He promise. He'll get stronger and stronger.

They will always be together.

Life has been...

He doesn't know anymore.

He promised himself that he'll protect the people he loved but he.... He failed. He was too weak! He can't even stop his hyung and Jung soo from dying. What kind of family is he that he let them sacrifice themselves for him and die?

He was the leader now. His responsibility have been heavy along the years, but he's grateful that no one else in his care have died.

He sigh and sat on his bed glancing at objects around his room that may ease his mind. His eyes landing on a thick book, he reached for it and scan the cover.

"The Birth of a Hero"

He raised his brow and opened the book as he layed down on his bed.

The story was interesting that he read for the rest of the day. Slowly getting tired he close his eyes as he fell asleep.

Why the hell is he Cale Hinetuse?!

Is it just me, or do you also question how much Choi Jung Gun wrote in Tboah that Kim Rok Soo, even after reading five volumes of the novel, only got as far as the beginning of the war against the Indomitable Alliance?

Did Choi Han and company really face so many difficulties and problems while dealing with the secret organization to create so much story, or did CJG pull a Tolkien in Lord of the Rings and describe every tree and stream the characters passed?

Considering what Cale says about the detailed character descriptions (I'm looking at you, the supposed four entire lines used to describe the Whale King's handsome appearance), I'm more inclined towards the second possibility.

You know? I have been thinking for a while now. About [The Birth Of A Hero] novel. KRS!Cale only read up to volume 5 right? But the novel itself is longer and has more volume than that. It makes me wonder. Does the novel depict the whole 20-year-long war that ends in a tragedy? Does that mean in the novel, the [Cale Henituse] who was only a minor villain in the few first volumes will come back as a relevant side character? Because [The Birth Of A Hero] was meant to be a guide for Choi Jung Soo to change things. And [Cale Henituse] is important due to his Thames bloodline and the [Anual Rings Of Life] Accient Power which is important to kill the White Star requires someone with the Thames bloodline. Does the novel later reveal all those details about [Cale Henituse]? Does the novel also reveal [Alberu Crossman]’s true nature and origin? He is, after all, an important character as he is the one gathering people in the doomed future.

It's interesting to think about what else is written in there. And let's not forget, how interesting it is if KRS!Cale has all this information from the start. How KRS!Cale would act if he had read all the volumes of [The Birth Of A Hero] before he woke up in Cale's body? Knowing that the protagonist, [Choi Han] won't be able to handle everything because the novel has shown him how it ended in a tragedy? And what he will do from the start with all this extra knowledge that he knows, about ARM and the White Star, about the original owner of his current body, [Cale Henituse]’s relevant role in the bigger scheme, about everything including the Accient Powers and Gods?

You know what, when I first got to know about the white Star, I thought he was a mysterious, handsome final boss.

But after a few chapters later and after getting to know his age (1000 years old I guess), I always thought of Cale fighting an elderly person who was inside a young man's body, bullying him to the end of his life.

Like, come on. I know he was good looking, intelligent, but isn't his age similar to Eruhaben's (and Eruhaben-nim is also as majestic as an old wine), so I never after that imagined him as something else.

Cale, very disrespectful of you to stab an elderly!! I thought you, Kim Rok Soo, respected your elders!

The deal the GoD made with Cale was a little messed up.

**Spoilers for anyone only reading the printed copies along with anyone only reading the manga**

I know both KRS and Cale have decided to fully be themselves with the names, but for this post I will be referring to them as Og! and KRS!, as it is easier for me.

This is a post about the deal Og!Cale made with the GoD that brought KRS into TBOAH.

First of all, GoD went to Og!Cale while he was DYING and then presented him this deal where he would live (in another body/world), someone else would take his body and then the world would be saved/changed and his family would live. While this is good for Og!Cake cause it means he will live and his family will be saved, I don't think anyone is really stable enough to make a decision like this while dying. NOT saying that the choice he made, taking the deal, was bad. Just saying there is no way he was in a good state of mind to truly make this deal.

Secondly, KRS!Cale had no consent, say, or knowledge of this deal. This is the main thing for me that makes this deal messed up. KRS!Cale had no clue that the next day he would be in another body or world, he had no idea he would never really see his team again, and he had no option on whether he wanted to do it or not. Not saying this deal wasn't good for him, he has definitely gained a lot from it, had grown a lot from it, and has healed a lot from it. However, I do believe he should have been given an opportunity to decide for himself whether this was something he wanted. Or he should have at least been warned about it, so he could make final records with his team or make preparations for when he would be gone.

Have they both gained a lot and have benefited greatly from this deal? Yes. No argument there

Should the GoD given them more time, warning, and knowledge about the deal? Yes.

So, I think the deal was a good thing but could have been executed better, especially for KRS.

What are your thoughts???

Yk sssvs? Or tf it is called.. Anw.. I can't stop thinking how the ship situation is so similar. So.

I wanna a fic where either CH from tcf starts remembering the stuff from the tboah or ogCH finding out abt tcf

1v: CH and Cale are not together, so yeah, imagine how weird it is to get glimpses of a universe where you and the person you respect the most are together. Not only that, but Cale acts different. Really really different. Himself too. Honestly idk how this au ends.

2v: After everyone die ogCH starts seeing glimpses of the alt universe, or smhw gets to go there. And just suffers. Cause why are everyone alive there? Why his alt verse was able to live happily? Why he could have a family? Why could he have Cale alive and breathing? Why not him?

And at the end ogCH crashing out alone on his destroyed earth, or domain after he has become a god or tf it is destinyed to be for one-lifers.

Or while still holding into ogCale's corpse which may as well be already rotten and such. Lol.

I'm ∞℅ sure I've entertained this idea when I was hyperfixated on them, but I can't remember writing anything abt this. Tho I'm sure I'll find something in my old docs. I'm just too lazy to check lol.

Silly headcanon: Og cale and choi han become friends because of quantum physics. I have no evidence to support this, I just think the juxtaposition is funny

Also imagine in the TBOAH timeline where their relationship is kinda rocky(not full on hatred, og Choi Han might have hated Og cale at first but after witnessing literal war criminals I think he'd be more lenient to og cale, and if he heard about og cale's mother from the molans and her death i don't think that he'd be too harsh on the guy) and then they just develop a friendship and the cast is so confused.
