1x2 – The Weirdo on Maple Street - REWATCH
The boys treating El exactly like they would if she was a stray pet was adorable. Food, water, clean clothes and a bed. Perfect! They are super kind and compassionate given the circumstances.
I’m not a mileven shipper but I do really like their friendship and the puppy love vibes they give off in S1. It’s cute.
Mike walking her around his house was so reminiscent of ET. Love those little 80s movies easter eggs.
My favourite scene is El telling the boys Will’s hiding. Jut chills, every time. The boys are probably the ones who truly understand what the Demogorgon is capable of.
Tommy and Carol are such stereotypes.
I love Nancy’s arc in S1. It was probably one of the best – from preppy schoolgirl worrying about tests and boys to badass monster hunter, she’s awesome! Refreshing to see the girl get this kind of arc when in the other shows, they’d probably designate that to Jonathan.
I hate Lonny. He’s an awful excuse for a father. Not sure if I want him back in S5. I’m not sure what else he could add to it at this point but I could be surprised.
Everyone’s chasing their tails this ep, it’s so fun. The audience know its all connected but watching the characters try to piece it together without all the info is really well done.
I love that Hopper as the cop finds the 1st real lead to follow with the lab and slowly one by one the rest of the plots are gonna fall into line.
I feel really bad for Barb. Her death is painful, even though it serves the purpose of making the audience question Joyce’s belief that Will could still be out there.
Joyce storming back into her house at the end was awesome. Don’t get in the way of that mama bear!
He is close. I know it. I feel it in my heart. You just have to... You have to trust me on this, okay?
I think something happened. Something terrible.
I want you to find something from your life. Something that angers you. Now channel it.
The gate... I opened it. I'm the monster.
We made a new friend. She stopped it. She saved us. But she's gone now.
Like there's this weight you're carrying around with you. All the time. I feel it, too.
