My baby!!! I've worked on this guy for a long while, and its what got me into fic in the first place. With 50k words written, I love this au to bits. No quick summary, since the link to the fic is right here, but i will say... it might give you a headache reading wink wink.

Monstrosity AU's that have been floating around in the old noggin' for a while. They don't have any actual substance aside from the rare one-off drabble (some i haven't posted yet), but I might try to make something about them in the future! Don't quote me on it though, motivation is a cruel mistress.

That one fandom issued bug Kai au, with a twist! After Kai spends long enough in the cocoon, he mutated into something not quite monster, not quite human. With no memories to speak of, he has to learn how to survive from scratch. Mandibles and all.

Dead
He wants to keep going, but he isn't so sure if it's possible anymore.
Its not in a blaze of glory, it's not next to his teammates, not even by battle. It's quiet. Ridden by disease, Kai dies alone, scared, and tired in the land of monsters. When his corpse is found half rotten, a jaded dragon and a lonely mech set off on a journey to bring him back to his family one last time. Even if it's just his memory.
Host
Its not him. No matter what they say, no matter how crazy she sounds, Nya knows in her heart of hearts—that isn't her brother.
Turns out, there's a lot of sapient creatures in the land of monsters. And so many of them are so, so jealous. Now in a body that isn't his, facing his body that something has taken over, how the hell is he supposed to convey: someone stole his skin, and the one he's wearing feels too tight?
Guardian Spirit
Theres a man in the fog. He won't take you home, but he'll help you get there.
Anything that dies in the land of monsters becomes a monster, but being a monster never meant acting like one. There's no happy ending for Kai, but he'll be damned if he let's the same thing that happened to him happen to anyone else. He's no guardian angel, but maybe a spirit will cut it.
Hunger
The food tastes like cotton and just looking at water makes him gag.
He is so hungry.
Killing the omukade turned out to leave quite the hefty consequence. Now holding it's curse, Kai finds that on some nights, only something specific can whet his appetite. Who knew elemental masters could be so... savory. (He's sick of it. He's sick of himself.)

Pretty much The Chen-Lǐ Inheritance but if Chen was a worser person. Kai has gone psycho under him, and now hunts after the best performance he can manage. Also very, veerrryyyy toxic Kailor!!! Yipee!!!
Knight of O'Khasis
For my Aphmau fans, but MD in particular! Kai's last name is Romeave and Nya is a war criminal. Also, Aph is Lloyd, but no greenflame!
Agent Smith
Weow, an administration au? How original!!!
Kai (with no memory) gets a 9-5 and is obviously miserable. So when Ras offers to save him from boredom, he takes it!
