Pierre Niney as Edmond Dantès & Bastien Bouillon as Fernand de Morcerf The Count of Monte-Cristo / Le Comte de Monte-Cristo (2024) dir. Matthieu Delaporte & Alexandre de La Patellière
A lot is being said about Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights, but if you're up to watching an adaptation of a classic that is not disrespectful to the source material, there have recently been 2 quite decent The Count of Monte Cristo adaptations; a film and a series. Neither of them is styled with quotation marks around it, and both make changes, but they keep the spirit of the book. The series adapts it better bc it has more time to include events from the book, but if you don't have that much time, go for the film. Or better, watch both!
