Thanks for those who are still reading this.
I've moved stores, gone back to my first love of community theatre, and finally had my foot surgery. I am currently in month 4 of my supposed 3 months off work... Surgery went well, the foot was more damaged than they could see on the MRI and it was a very big surgery to begin with, so its taking a long time to heal. I may even be out of the moon boot indefinitely by the end of the week🤞
If you need an update of where we're at, which, fair, I'd suggest re-reading the previous two chapters.
I'd love to hear your comments or any thoughts you might have, I honestly have been working on this story and am just struggling with the timelines of things but I do have up to chapter 34 written, in bits and pieces. It's now just making sure all those bits and pieces are joined together seamlessly and make sense within the timeline of events.
Also it's been so long since I've written or had to use my brain like this I typed the word phone the other day as "fown" 🤦♀️

Aida sp*ilers! Kara is secretly an alien and a superhero; Aida is a slave who is secretly a princess of Nubia and planning to help her father, the captured king of Nubia, to escape, as well as to help her father’s subjects, who are now her fellow slaves. Lena is, well, Lena; Radames is head of the Egyptian military and engaged to the Egyptian princess, Amneris, who is heir to the pharaoh. Aida and Radames fall in love. The big reveal of Aida’s secret occurs in the middle of the story, but more towards the end, so Radames knows who she really is in part 2 of the song, but not in part 1. Part 2 takes places right at the end of their story, which is a very, very sad ending, but at least they are together.

One weekend in late fall, Peeta was stretched out on the couch with his head resting on Katniss's stomach. She combed her fingers through his hair and he caught one of her hands to bring to his lips.
Callie and Becca giggled.
Sam lowered her book to look over, rolled her eyes, and went back to reading.
The little girls continued to giggle.
"What's so funny over there?" Katniss asked.
"Nothing." Callie said. They laughed some more.
"Doesn't sound like nothing." Peeta lifted his head and looked at the two younger girls. "What is it?"
"We want to know when you're getting married." Becca giggled.

Thank you all for your patience as always. I moved jobs and am dealing with some stuff in my personal life which is not leaving me much brain space to write.
I'm struggling with the timing of the events in the next two chapters, hopefully I can work through it soon.
Tried to find a balance between Mei Lin being a bitch, but still giving her a reason to why she's wanting to hold onto the family she lost and Lucien trying to be his beautiful gentle self but also calling her out on her behavior, I hope it rings true and doesn't give you whiplash.
Personally, your comments are the only thing keeping me writing at this stage. I'm committed to finishing this story, and I have the next three chapters loosely written, but if you could leave me a comment about something you liked about the chapter, that would go a long way to help me persist. It's a hard slog for me at the moment.
