Right. So, in the last few days I’ve managed to binge watch all 5 seasons of The Doctor Blake Mysteries (thanks @lor-a-loo!), because I’ve been/still am stuck in bed with covid, and now I come to you, newbie fan calling upon the veterans - please help this girl out with a link to Family Portrait! I’m in the UK, and the only channel that has the show doesn’t have any episodes after 5.8, so I’m left without Lucien and Jean’s wedding! That simply won’t do.

I’ve been so sick, please help me with more murder and romance 🙏🏻 Via a simple “click to watch” link if possible because I’m seriously lacking brain power at the moment, I’m that poorly. Thank you!

Notes: Happy birthday pumpkinspicelove! I LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it's been over a year🫣 Thanks for those who are still reading this. I've moved stores, gone back to my first love of community theatre, and finally had my foot surgery. I am currently in month 4 of my supposed 3 months off work... Surgery went well, the foot was more damaged than they could see on the MRI and it was a very big surgery to begin with, so its taking a long time to heal. I may even be out of the moon boot indefinitely by the end of the week🤞

If you need an update of where we're at, which, fair, I'd suggest re-reading the previous two chapters.

I'd love to hear your comments or any thoughts you might have, I honestly have been working on this story and am just struggling with the timelines of things but I do have up to chapter 34 written, in bits and pieces. It's now just making sure all those bits and pieces are joined together seamlessly and make sense within the timeline of events. Also it's been so long since I've written or had to use my brain like this I typed the word phone the other day as "fown" 🤦‍♀️

I never thought I could love a "housekeeper ship" or possibly any ship more than this pair. It was this moment right here that sealed the deal for me...

Then I started watching ACGAS and fell in love with these two from the very first episode. I mean, how could I not ship them after this scene...

But then once again, and very late to the game this time, I discovered The Doctor Blake Mysteries and what do you know, I'm suddenly falling down that rabbit hole of the beautiful housekeeper and her slightly grumpy/eccentric man again.

Two out of three ain't bad, still living in hope that ACGAS might make it three out of three in the coming series. 🙏🏻 They are meant to be together.

Anyone recommend any others I might fall for?

“Hello, my darling.”

Jean smiled into the receiver. “Good evening, Doctor.”

“Don’t tease me,” Lucien growled. “I’m sorry, Jeannie, but I won’t be back in time for dinner.”

“That’s alright.” Jean blanketed her disappointment in relief that he’d called. “First case back.”

“First night home.” How wonderful to be married, to be understood. “I’ll be home to you as soon as I can.”

Home to you. Jean practically levitated. “I’ve fixed us soup, so yours will be easy to reheat.”

Lucien paused. “When I get home, I won’t be hungry for soup.”

Mrs. Blake did not blush. “Neither will I.”
