You guys I have to tell you a story now about one of many reasons why my US history teacher is the my favorite teacher ever even though history is my least favorite subject.
So today I was having a really rough day--I had woken up late, I was sore from running the previous day, I'm still really sick with a runny nose and coughing problems, I had several tests throughout the day, my head was hurting, I was feeling more exhausted than I ever have in my life, etc.--and by the time I got to my US history class last period I was just ready to go home and wallow in my sadness. And I didn't realize, but I guess it must have been showing on my face or something because somehow my teacher noticed.
And how do I know he noticed? No, he didn't ask me if I was okay or if I wanted to talk or anything. No, instead, he--in the middle of a class lecture--very discreetly walked by my desk and put a lollipop on it, whilst continuing to teach.
When I asked him later why he have me a lollipop, his response was, "you just seemed like you needed one today."
My faith in humanity: 14 levels higher than yesterday.
