Kat/Gabriel?

when I started shipping it if I did: From the moment Kat and Gabriel started bickering in episode 5 of season 1. We did not know it was MU Gabriel then and by episode 6, I was a hardcore shipper.

my thoughts: Where do I start? Just so much potential and the feels!!!  Canon moments like when Kat assumed he died (”My Gabriel” *sobs forever*) and that time they bickered just makes me wish that we got to know Prime Gabriel. I’d love to meet the man that a woman like Kat chose to fall in love with. I have many headcanons for them and just thinking about them just make both happy and sad.  seeing an age-appropriate relationship and the deep bond and devotion from Kat’s part made me realize they were just more than friends with benefits. 

What makes me happy about them: The little moments. Them watching perseids together and the obvious chemistry they have even when they are apart and the fact that Kat loved him and knew him enough to know something was very wrong when others didn’t suspect a thing.

What makes me sad about them: Obviously, We never saw PU Gabriel and what Kat had with him.  All I wanted to see was a reunion between them and now that Kat is gone (sobs) I don’t want Gabriel back just to live in a place where Kat isn’t.

things are done in fanfic that annoys me: I don’t read much of fanfics that they are paired with different people but if there is any cheating involved I'm not comfortable with that. Also, there are some pairings like Micheal x Kat that slightly gross me out but I do know people have the freedom to ship whoever they want. 

things I look for in fanfic: Happy endings. call me a hopeless romantic but these two have their canon relationship doomed and at least I want fanfic to be at least palatable. If there is angsty (of course it is) I prefer them in the middle of the story. Also good characterization. Kat is a complex character and prime Gabriel is basically all-fanfic at this point. They can’t and won’t behave like teenagers when they are obviously late-middle-aged decorated officers.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: They are just two overachievers who drifted apart and both had various relationships in their lives but they sure kept drifting towards each other. So I’m into them ending up with each other.

My happily ever after for them: Kat is alive, Gabriel comes back from MU and they live in a small wood cabin on shores of Lake George (see what I did there?) and work on their respective traumas together and just being together with each other.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: they’d switch occasionally but I do think Gabriel loves to cuddle anyway

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Hiking. watching meteor showers together with a bottle of Single Malt whiskey.

002 | Katrina Cornwell

How I feel about this character: oh my god!! where do I begin?  I mean she is basically the reason I’m on Tumblr, I fell in love with her character, she is the reason for my return to fandom at large.  I have so many feelings about her but basically, she is BADASS, unapologetic, honest leader and an amazing person whom I see as my role model.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Gabriel Lorca Prime and I do love the headcanon Leonard Mccoy (AOS) and she was married. Also, I ship MU Inquisitor Kat Cornwell x Emperor Georgiou. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Pike/Kat is such a cool pair.  Also, I like Micheal/Kat and Hugh/Kat moments we saw on screen. but my biggest one is Number One (Una)/Kat  and ISTG, they have the most amazing mentor/student relationship. Also, who can forget L’rell/Kat dynamic?

My unpopular opinion about this character: that she basically lived and jumped off to the future with DISCO. she would’ve been an amazing asset to the crew. I wanted to explore more of “Nation-building is never pretty” theme of hers because and older admiral like her know that beneath the utopian facade of federation there is much more going on rather than young officers or captains like Chris Pike. IMO, She should’ve lead S31 after all that.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: All I wanted for her was to reunite with her Gabriel and... (sobs)

my OTP:  Gabriel Lorca Prime and Kat Cornwell (Katriel)

my cross over ship: Non-Romantic crossover is Janeway/Kat !!! I mean a meeting between these two would’ve just add10 years to my life. Imagine Janeway beaming off to Enterprise somehow and rescuing Kat off and be like “My role model sacrificing her life? Not on my watch!!”

a headcanon fact: Christopher Pike, Phillipa Georgiou, Gabriel Lorca, Katrina Cornwell, Afsaneh Paris were very close friends during their Academy days.

I always wondered why I fell in love with Admiral Katrina Cornwell the moment I laid my eyes on her in Star Trek:Discovery season 1 episode 5 .

But as I got to know Kirsten Beyer is involved in DISCO, I'm not so surprised why Katrina Cornwell is so familiar and why I fell in love with her. 😉😉😉
