So, what a massive night for wrestling huh? Whilst we all try and unwind from the start of AEW Rampage, I want to share my thoughts on why Roman Reigns has toppled the feud between him & John Cena without anyone realising it.

Roman Reigns, a man of few words yet many actions. Roman won both nights, and that’s down to a mixture of things. Roman watched John talk and talk and ultimately defeat his own purpose of taking Roman down, like how Pokemon get confused after hitting moves (or something like that, haven’t played in years). And tonight he won by analysing John’s words and countering them. The narrative is in Cena’s place because of the Summer of Cena tagline, Adam & Sonya letting him compete despite not getting Roman’s approval, so Roman promised ‘Either I retain my championship, or I leave WWE’ and all of a sudden, the narrative returns to him, it’s no longer about Cena, it’s about him and Roman, and really, a tagline will go, but implications of matches remain, the match Roman put his career on the line will be what people remember this for.

Cena may be a talker, but Roman is a thinker, and when words fail in the ring when the bell goes, thinking takes control, and Roman has Cena all caught up. I’m Team Roman at SummerSlam, will you be?
