Tea At The Office... Finally!

Back in March I left my managerial position at the Canadian T-Kettle brand tea store. Odd move you might imagine for a tea lover such as myself but there were several reasons for the move. Perhaps I will blog about this a later date. Since March I have been back working at my old employer (a pest control company) for which I was previously a tech, but now working in the office. This has been an amazing change as I now get to work not only with a close friend, but I also get to avoid working outside in the terrible hot summer temperatures. The only thing that was missing was tea.

But I have now finally changed that and got a new mini gongfu set up for my desk. Ever shopped for teawares on Etsy? If not I really recommend it! You can find a lot of really beautiful and high quality wares for many different sellers. Below I have added the links for the tray and Gaiwan set.

I’m calling it Tea Turtle 😂

I was really feeling the surreal aesthetic with this one. It kind of reminded me of one of my favorite older drawings from an Inktober long past, and I just went with it. I love how bright it is, the cute colors I ended up with, and I really enjoyed combining prompts again🥰

Where there are shadows, you know there’s sun!! I picked up this small silver tray on Friday during an antiquing expedition (bought 3 things, none of which were what I was actually shopping for), because I’ve been wanting a smaller and lighter one for personal service. It’s just the right size for tea, or maybe coffee and a snack, and I can easily carry it upstairs to my office. Having tea in the garden is one of my greatest pleasures! It does not need to be a complicated affair, a simple tea tray with a delicious piece of home made cake is sufficient.
