why do emojis look different on my keyboard vs when i text them to my friend? it's on the same phone

and they look the same on tumblr as on my keyboard

so i got a new phone (dropped the old one in water) and like

look. i put a lot of time into turning off my location, voice activation, personalized ads, all that bullshit that tracks my every move. like if you want my info youre gonna have to put a sliver of effort into it google, thanks.

but i need google to do one. fucking. thing.

when i destroy my phone (because statistically i will break it within 1-4 years and need a new one) i need you to fucking back up my shit so i dont start from scratch.

google. you have one fucking job.

guess what's not fucking backing up my fucking whatsapp.

and the worst part is that i can access my backup info and it literally says that i have a backup from less than a week ago. but it wont let me force-download it. whatsapp says i should receive a verification text when i download the app and that will initiate the download backup, but i didnt receive any fucking text.

there are no fucking prompts

i didnt receive the prompt to enter in a code, whatsapp! you didnt even ask me to verify my phone number! i just popped in my old sim card and you downloaded the app and there's nothign there

why the fuck am i letting google hold all my shit if its not gonna give it back when it's fucking supposed to??

I got home from a graphic design show at my school (to showcase all the student's work) and suddenly my drawing tablet is malfunctioning? I can still sort of draw but it's frustrating. Just letting y'all know because I may not post a lot until I can figure out how to fix it. Until then I give you this random sticker-esque doodle I did a while back :p

Finally back in Brooklyn after the madness that was Ponycon. I spent the better part of 5 days hanging out with some really awesome people. Unfortunately both my camera and my phone died on me so I barely took any pictures. Maybe that was for the best, some things you don't want a photo record of.

Until the new phone battery arrives, all I have are pictures from the drive in. New Jersey is beautiful in a strange, ugly way. This goes double for Jersey in the winter. My photos could never capture the bleak desolation of the "Garden State".

The harsh industrial landscape only reinforces the fact that all of nature seems to have died out. The biting cold reminds you that the summer months are a fleeting luxury. The universe is cold and uncaring and life is all too short. It also really makes you want to listen to some Sisters of Mercy or something like that. 10/10 would recommend.

Looks like my hard drive might be failing now. Oh well.. I was looking to replace it in the future anyhow. Any recommendations for replacements?

I think I’ve narrowed down the errors to a single file in the driver pack that keeps shitting the bed: a mounthlp.sys file seems to be the consistent corrupted file error upon every boot-up repair sequence, but I’m having a time trying to figure out how to address that.
