The developers not only cut the prologue and Spike from the prologue (but didn't cut it in the epilogue), but also shortened or completely deleted the scenes with Hakon. It's a bastard thing to do.

They literally deleted Cillian, and that's a significant part of the Night Runners plot, which isn't very big anyway. Now we don't see a picture with Frank since the days of the special forces. And we won't find out about Hakon and Cillian's past together. All we have from Cillian now is that his voice is recorded on several tapes, plus he appears in the last third of the game when missiles are flying at the city. And it's just a guy we don't know.

What is their response? "Eat what we give you and don't be indignant, it's necessary." I hate the Tencent Studio.

What is “dying 2 date”?:

Dying 2 Date is a fan made visual novel/dating sim featuring characters from Dying Light 2 where you explore the summer themed beach, fight infecteds all the while trying to find love.

Who’s in the game? Where can I play it?:

For now there are four main options (see header image above + one more character) in the game and plenty of in game NPCs you can interact with. I plan to add more routes later so don’t feel bummed if your fav isn’t dateable (yet)!

As for where to play, since the game is going to be absolutely free I plan to mainly release it on itch.io and other indie game platforms that are accessible to everyone.

Why a fangame? And what’s the plan?:

To be precisely honest, this idea came to fruition because I, like many in the community were unhappy with the direction Techland is taking. I love all the characters deeply, and this is a way of taking things into my own hands and creating something everyone would (possibly) enjoy. It’s still a very immature project but I have so much love for everything related to the game that I just have to do it. If this piqued your interest in any way, please join me on this project!

How you can be a part of the project:

Right now I’m a one person team, I do the art, I write the scripts and I code the game myself with zero experience. And I might need a second opinion or a helping hand on certain matters. Artist, animators, writers and other talents are very welcomed. And if none of above fits your description, we also need plenty playtesters!
