If you wouldn’t tell a trans woman “if you want to be a woman then I’m going to treat you like one” and then proceed to act extremely misogynistic, why the fuck would you do the same thing to a trans man? It’s also just extremely easy to tell that you’re not treating trans men like you would cis men, so what’s the point?

“Aphobia discourse ended” but…

you still think aspec representation is a loss for queer representation.

you still can’t see a character with no romantic or sexual interests and interact with them without shipping them.

you still don’t accept people who are aplatonic, afamial, or any other kind of nonrose anattractional.

you still don’t accept alloaces and alloaros, people who are oriented aroace, people who are cupidosexual or cupioromantic, etc.

you still don’t accept hetero aspecs.

you still associate asexuality and aromanticism with whiteness, thinness, conformity, etc.

you still think of arormanticism as something that only occurs in tandem with asexuality.

you still think of aspec adults as lesser than allo adults, infantilize them, etc.

Maybe the discourse did end. But the bigotry hasn’t gone away.

once again saying this because I don't want to keep having to block people:

Transandrophobia discussion community. You all have to get less paramisic now. You have to stop letting paramisia pass in your comments and reblogs. You have to get more pro-kink, too. I am sick and tired of having to defend the attraction of others to you because you don't understand the difference between fiction and reality, or because you think pedophiles = child abusers. It becomes especially sickening when you use kinks and paraphilias to attack trans women. You claim to be against this exact sort of thing, but I keep seeing this shit happen over and over again. This isn't a good look for any of us.

As a paraphile, I do not feel safe with you guys. It makes it hard to even engage in a discussion with you. I am so done with feeling unsafe in every community I'm in because of how often I am shown that I and people with even more stigmatized attractions than me aren't welcome.

Yes it is, have you ever spoken to the family of a trans man/transmasc person

People who are transandrophobic online are most often also transandrophobic in real life

additionally it isn’t going to “end like bi/ace/whatever discourse” because that “discourse” never ended. I am very aware of this as an mspec and aspec person.

+ I say “discourse” because real bigotry against real people is not discourse and we need to stop acting like it is. It’s just hatred. Thanks

is transmisogny benefiting me when people assume I’m a trans woman (I technically am transfem as well as transmasc but let’s just say most people would assume I’m just a slightly masculine girl irl) and make comments asking if my boobs are real or if I got “the surgery” (I’m a teenager). Is transmisogny benefiting me when radfems tell me I’m not a “real trans woman” because I don’t fit the mold of what a trans woman is expected to be? Is that me benefiting from transmisogny? Really?

taking this sentiment from a trf because I think it’s genuinely important. We need a word for the equivalent of “rape” or “sexual violence” in a romantic sense. Because there are so many ways in which romance can be coercive and we as a society talk about absolutely 0 of those ways. Romantic violence works very well I think (not my idea).
