My L'manburg never hurt anyone. We never started a fight. Hell, the only reason I kept a militia was to break up street fights and defend against hostile mobs. It wasn't even like we were a rich country, for fucks sake, I was the president and I lived in a cottage!

I lived in a cottage on the same row as my men and my people, and sometimes I couldn't get out of bed because the wounds from the fight for our independence ached too badly. I organized trade agreements and settled civil disputes. For christs sake, what kind of harm were we doing? Why does everyone hate my L'manburg? I don't understand.

...The Manburg administration wasn't good. People started to starve. Agreements fell apart, because they'd been made with me, not Schlatt. A lot of my men defected. They were irrate at citizens who quickly forgot everything we'd done for them, who elected a bastard and abandoned their founder and fighters.

Yet still, it wasn't doing harm. Not a great place to live, sure, but they weren't causing problems for anyone else.

And... I know why I did what I did. It wasn't good. I wasn't good.

But Techno had no fucking right to do what he did and then rewrite MY history for HIS inflated fucking ego.
